    Scotland v Australia - Sunday 26 November 1:30am AEDT

QH, you are a revelation. A pretty flower in the top right hand corner of your posts shows that it is not imperative for Tahs' supporters to excuse and rationalise for the failings of the team which in large part are down to coaching and selections.

    NRC onwards and upwards

Spot on - never let it be forgotten how the intransigent attitude of the SS towards the start of the NRC has to all appearances detrimentally impacted the Sydney based teams in the NRC. Probably won't be any different in future years with or without the Waratahs linking with the NRC sides.

I don't mind the swearing at all. It's the constant carry on like a headless chook, banging the table, throwing his arms in the air, jumping up and down, that is the embarrassment. That is the part of his behaviour he should be keeping under better control. I think it has become apparent that...

    Brumbies 2018

MST, I'm interested in your comment that the Brumbies have some good 12s. Assuming Christian is seen as a 10, who are the 12s and which ones would you rate as good? The best available in my eyes are Dargaville and Smith, neither of whom are natural 12s but are being remodeled from other spots.

Would really like to see one of Louwrens or Ruru in there to bolster the No 9 spot. Understand Lonegan is there but will be a year or two off Super Rugby standard imo. The No 10 spot is also very light on and vulnerable if either Hawera or Lealiifano go down with injury.

So, looking forward to Will Genia fitting right in there with his box kicks.

I always thought he would make a good No 13. Looks a lot like Conrad Smith in the way he plays, but not sure of his ability to run the backline defense like Smith did.

http://www.rugby.com.au/News/2017/11/23/Wallabies-Scotland-Murrayfield-team-announcement This is how the announcement of the team changes has been reported by the ARU. Some questions spring to mind. Tupou arrived in Scotland only three days before the test but has impressed Cheika in his...

I am not discounting Maddocks' talent at all. I think he was far and away the standout back in the Aussie U20s side, and would be very disappointed if he doesn't realise his potential. But, DHP is the second best No 15 in the country and arguably more rounded player than Folau whose abilities...

Cutting a team to improve the standard of play overall? Now, where have I heard that before?

That question is on the money B. To make it worse, the likely replacement for Moore, Uelese, has shown he more ready for test match play than the initial replacement for Fardy, Hanigan. I continue to be dismayed by many of the test side selections over the past year or more. The replacement...

Expecting DHP to be injured again KO? Only way I can see Maddocks (as promising as he is) displacing him from the starting lineup. If it does happen as you forecast, then I think both HPs will be looking elsewhere in 2019.

Slim, I noticed on another thread a mention that Aden Tuoa might be heading back to the Brumbies for 2018. How do you feel?

And Fakosolea should be added to my list of "Others in contention" at Post 586.

Do you know something about Rona the rest of us don't RC? Last I heard, he was likely heading to the Waratahs.

    Rebels 2018

I'm sure nobody (and that includes the ARU itself) have a clue as to how the finances are being allocated/managed for 2018. IIRC the undertaking given during the period of uncertainty leading to axing the Force was that the ARU would honour the contracts of those players who couldn't find a new...

    Brumbies 2018

Lot of humour going on with play on words surrounding the new signings and how much they might cost. Ha ha. But seriously, what does the roster look like now and what might be the game day squad to start 2018? Some thoughts : 1 - 15. Sio, Mann-Rea, Ala'alatoa, Rory Arnold, Enever, Valetini...
