    Brumbies 2018

MST, his form has really been good all year. On par with Matt Philip who has very deservedly now earnt a spot in the wallabies. He would be a good get.

    Reds 2018

For starters, there should be fewer lock penalties next year. That's a plus.

    Rebels 2018

Yeah - that's the point isn't it? Neither the ARU nor the VRU have been forthcoming about the financial aspects yet, and while there might be some accommodations made for 2018, I think there will be bigger cap problems in later years when the ARU lose their initial enthusiasm.

    Refereeing decisions

That's a big rise from NRC rookie last year. I really haven't been impressed with him in the few games I seen him officiate, but good luck to him and hope he has a belter.

Japan vs Wallabies, Nissan Stadium, Yokohama, Sat 4th Nov 4.40pm AEST

Just caught up with a replay of the match. Japan tried hard all game.Mafi was strong and the fullback was very good in attack. For the Wallabies, McMahon never stopped (until he was replaced), the front row all were very strong but for me Sio was a standout there. The Centres and Wings all had...

Wales vs Australia - Sunday 12 November - 4:15am AEDT

And that reflects the current Wallabies' lineup, how? For those advocating Hunt and Meakes in the starting side, neither has earnt a spot this time around. Play them off the bench until they hit form, but right now neither has done anything on tour to displace any of the last starting side.

But we can say he kicks it a huge distance further than Foley, so he offers more threat in that regard than Foley does. Something the opposition would be on the alert about you'd imagine.

In Folau's absence, the outside backline in this test has a lot to like. It works because Beale is at 15 and can inject himself as a playmaker when needed. If Hodge is to be retained for his kicking game, we really don't lose much in the 10 spot if he plays there. He will improve his...

NRC: Semi-Final QLD Country vs Fijian Drua

TT is certainly starting to live up to the early expectations. Won't be long til he gets a call up nationally I think.

Japan vs Wallabies, Nissan Stadium, Yokohama, Sat 4th Nov 4.40pm AEST

I haven't yet seen the match, so take my comments with a great deal of salt, but there have quite a few posts now about Hodge having a weak left to right pass and that it seems to be his main drawback in the 10 spot. Then there are comments, like yours, that Foley is the far better No 10. In...

Don't know how you can say that as we, the armchair critics, had picked out Coleman, Arnold and Philip long before they got their chance with the chocolate wheel. Maybe Rodda was brought in before too many fans were calling for his elevation, but generally we have been well in front of the...

I agree Dru that the Cheika way in not necessarily to have the primary playmaker at 10, therefore Beale plays 12 to Foley and 15 to anyone else in the 10 spot. What Hodge brings to the game that Foley doesn't is a huge boot, and better defense. Goal kicking is probably on a par but Hodge gives...

Japan vs Wallabies, Nissan Stadium, Yokohama, Sat 4th Nov 4.40pm AEST

Kerevi apparently had a big game but posters are saying he was able to run over the smaller opposition. That might well be the case in this game, but he also breaks the line fairly frequently against bigger and better opposition. he has a pretty good step for a big man. He is probably more...

Japan vs Wallabies, Nissan Stadium, Yokohama, Sat 4th Nov 4.40pm AEST

"Although there are a few questions about the makeup of the backline, there is a real possibility that they will run amok. Hodge is not inexperienced at 10, and his defense there will be better than Foley's. Beale will be the second play maker, and probably the primary playmaker on most set...

    Rebels 2018

ARU made big play of committing to honour the existing contracts of the Force players and as the boss with the pay cheques, they would be able within reason to direct players where there is a need. They have been noticeably quiet on the financial aspects relating to the relocated players lately...
