    Waratahs 2013

The long ball is over used on occasions, but any player who throws the "harbour bridge" should not be a ball player. I agree that the ball carrier needs options, but if the defence knows that the 10 can't or won't throw long, they will squeeze in and cover each of the support players. Look at...

To be fair, there has not been a 10 with a long ball, so he has been reliant on TC putting him in a hole. I don't think even TC's mum would think that is a feature of his game.

The TV Broadcasting of Australian Rugby

He would have to convince his own board first. Can't see any decision makers voting for a reduced fee, they are relying on tv money to keep the wheels turning ATM.

Quade telling it how it is

The reason why Quade Cooper earns more in a year than his peers did in 1996 is a direct result of increased media interest. I agree most do not seek out the attention, but unfortunately mediainterest comes with the big bucks

    John O'Neill resigns

No doubt the massive increase in intensity on Saturday, was a direct result of Deans giving the boys the old ""let's win this one for the gipper" speeches before they ran out. Maybe there were photos of him in the sheds to further inspire the boys.

Quade telling it how it is

I was going to agree with that bit, then I remembered Lote. Obviously the disciplinary code is scaled in proportion to the perception of the player's value to the team. I think the ARU will look back at the past 3 years and wish they had consistently taken a tougher line. Whenever you lower...

Beale and Cooper in boozy incident

There is a precedent.QC (Quade Cooper) was in exactly the same situation and dealt with it the same way (via mediation to have charges drop) KB (Kurtley Beale) should get exactly the same punishment that QC (Quade Cooper) was given, whatever that was.

Quade telling it how it is

Read your original post again, you were adament that being charged of a crime was proof of nothing. And that no action was appropriate until any charge was proved. Why is there a difference in how you believe KB (Kurtley Beale) should be treated, and how you believed QC (Quade Cooper) should have been treated.

Quade telling it how it is

Not surprisingly, this was your opinion when QC (Quade Cooper) was caught stealing. You have got more conservative over the past few years!

Quade telling it how it is

Yes they have set the standard, apparently if you steal things and go through the mediation process(as KB (Kurtley Beale) is ) then they will start you. Apparently you don't even have to tackle if you don't feel like it.

2012 Australia vs New Zealand - 20 Oct

How many restarts did any AB take? I don't hear any talk of sacking AB's who were in a catching position with the restart. And there is a reason for that.

What characteristics make for a good nine?

I believe the reverse is true. Sheehan's strength is around the ruck directing traffic with the pigs. He is physical and helps out the pigs with stong defence. Later in the game when you are expecting the game to open up, is the time to replace him.

Quade telling it how it is

He makes negative tweets about the culture in the squad, then goes on tv 4 or 5 days later and states a number of times that he refuses to play for the Wobs until things change. If that was a mistake and he fluffed his lines, a one line tweet, a statement clarifying what he meant to say would...

    Dictatorial vs Inclusive coaching

I think the recruitment of Cruden & SBW had a teeny bit to do with their improvement as well.

    Waratahs 2013

I thought in 2010 the S & C guys delivered, they were fucking monsters. They just didn't have a game plan to utelise their strengths. It's not much good playing 10 man Rugby with a shit kicker.

2012 Australia vs New Zealand - 20 Oct

From listening to Kafe's analysis and the stats supporting his analysis, I took the opposing view. I assumed that Richie was making many more tackles, and being first into contact as a result of the opposition deliberately targeting him. If he is second or third into contact he can ruin your...

2012 Australia vs New Zealand - 20 Oct

It's RD's fault that you don't rate the 9 & 10 (as the incumbent's are injured) Then it's ridiculous to use injuries as an excuse? And it's the coach's fault there are no blockers for the kicker? At test level, that is something where the players need specialist coaching? Why is it that the...

    End of Year Tour 2012

I wasn't a fan of how he huffed and puffed when he came back to the Shute Shield. The better players don't need to gob off. In any event he didn't even stamp himself as a grade above in the Shute Shield IMO. He appears to me to be another big strong athlete rather than a "footballer". I would be...
