I'm not sure how a Brumbies/Waratahs competition is sustainable though.........

It can't work in Australian rugby........ It only works in sports like AFL, NFL, NBA etc. where those competitions are be all and end all.

The Brumbies might regret signing Lucas (although he's a reasonable bench/squad option) with the Force players on offer.......... But they're also developing an excellent local young scrumhalf in Lonergan. It's a shame there isn't another team for all these players.........

Theoretically it is an even playing field........ Team A develops Wallabies....... those players get rewarded. Unfortunately there is other criteria that favours the traditional teams.
