    National Rugby Championship 2014

WIN is the obvious choice but far too big to start. Collegians would provide the ability to be set up for broadcasting games easily enough plus would look better on TV with a full grandstand and plenty of spectator surrounding the touch lines.

Collegians Sports Centre. According to Austadiums it has a capacity of 5,000. As for whether you'd get that many.I think you'd get close for a country fixture from the local Rugby community if advertised well in advance.

There's actually a perfect pitch in Wollongong for hosting these games. It's holds around 5,000 has a brand new grandstand. It's owned by one of the local leagues clubs but I doubt they'd be adverse to a little income being generated by what otherwise would be a expense.

I agree. Many critical of the NRC cite the lack of FTA coverage but the facts are without the money from Foxtel we wouldn't have the NRC to begin with.

Hopefully someone at the ARU are looking into the streaming options. It would make sense. If not the ARU then it would be wise for the individual groups to seriously consider it. Some may quote cost. However, I have a hard time buying into that. The Glendale Raptors (Denver, Colorado) stream...

What a ripper of a pick he's proven to be.

    Tahs v Rebels Rnd 6 2014

Yeah, I'm getting a little tired of it now. He's a top player but they seem to be overlooking the fact that 7 or his 8 tries this season have come from the play of others. The hero worship is becoming unbearable. I'm saying this and I'm a Tahs fan who's happy to have him aboard.

Hugh, lay off the yanks. I happen to have a good deal to do with a number of them via another site and they're good blokes and they certainly know the differences.

Agreed. What the goal of creating new or maximising existing revenue stream should be to benefit particularly the grassroots levels of the game and initiatives to draw in both more players and spectators.

    National Rugby Championship 2014

Umm... at the risk if provoking the Wrath of Ross, but I think we need to accept that Rugby at the top both in terms of the administration and playing ranks is a business. Like in all sports, it's only a game until money gets involved. It's true here as it is all over the world. Whether we...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

I think that needs to be taken into account and that they have as you have alluded to been taking on essentially full strength state teams. The fact that they've been highly competitive is actually a big positive.

I happy to hear NSW Country are looking to get in on the action and that they will be taking their games to the country itself. It would provide a real point of difference to other codes where the country is severely underrepresented.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

This is great to see. Any concerns that this competition would be overly Syd/Bris-centric have been unfounded which is not only great for the kids but the structure itself.

Northampton as well. Think he's featuring more in the A-League at the moment. Hopefully he'll get his opportunity soon. The bloke a Leicester is Blaine Scully who has become a regular fixture in the Tigers starting line up at 15. If you want to find out more visit thisisamericanrugby as they...

    Sydney Subbies 2014

I didn't say anything when I first read that but I thought, "did he mean Adam Choice?" followed by "he'd be a little old wouldn't he?", I played a bit of Rugby with him during my time at the Quins as a junior and he was a year older than I.

If you're asking about Manoa, then he's doing very well.

I'd imagine Randwick would want to remain playing out of Coogee.

    National Rugby Championship 2014

Ok. There's a bloke on TWF who seems to be suggesting that hte NRC will have 10 teams. Sth Australia have missed out and it appears Easts won't have a dog in this fight according to this poster. Right here goes according to this guy. Perth, Canberra (run by the Brumbies. No shock there) and...

I should clarify something here. I didn't mean that I thought the talent wasn't there. On the contrary, I believe there is sufficient talent to create at the very least a competition equivalent of the Shute Shield almost immediately if they chose to look toward a more regional city based...

You should probably quote the entire sentence which essentially says exactly what I said above and according to the post above, you agree with.
