    Super Rugby Television Ratings 2014

The timing of the game would not have helped. While it was a great game bathed in sunshine, a ot of people are out on a Saturday afternoon. Would have had an impact.

Wilko to play in the NRC?

Perhaps he'd be interested in the experience side of it. Playing in another country and such. Pay him in beer. He could treat it as a gateway into an extended holiday. Like to see him playing 13 for the Rams.

    USA and Canadian Rugby

Evidently only the 4th tier of the main stand and two ends are the only areas with more than the odd individual seat remaining. That's pretty impressive.

    USA and Canadian Rugby

Well, every group involved in trying to bring pro rugby to the US are loiking to tgw soring/summer window to avoid conflicting with the NFL and College football. They all want to try and tap into that market as well as the existing rugby community. This suggests that whether intentiinal or not...

That 30,000 is on top of tbe pre-registered tickets that were released on Sunday. Not sure how many of those were sold but 30,000+ sold 4 1/2 months ahead of the game is great. Could be a watershed moment for USA Rugby.

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

When someone takes your comment out of context, its usually best to clarify your position. What promo are you referring to? If it's the placard on the sideline at TG Milner, there's one at Merrylands as well. I think it's more on the clubs to put those in place at present.

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

Where did you read that the Western Clubs don't want Souths involved? You've drawn quite the long bow from my comment. I've thought for some time that Souths should look to some sort of partnership with the Illawarra in the Shield let alone the NRC. I personally think it would be a better fit...

According to Ted Hardy the NRFL were active in Houston this past weekend culminating with their rep talking about the league on local radio. It appears that Houston may be the first franchise off the block. Another 5 or so and they may have something to get off the ground.

Competition: help us design the ultimate G&GR RWC Tour

^^ I endorse the above tour suggestion. Well the German beer side of it. Oktoberfest holds some very warm memories.

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

Maybe. Who knows. I just think that Southern would be better served aligning with the Illawarra. Engadine already compete in the Illawarra senior structures so there a link in existence. There's a good facility in which they could play out of in Wollongong in the form of the Collegians Sports...

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

An alignment with the Illawarra would be a better fit in the long term. The geographical spread of the GSR is a little too broad but a necessary evil in the first season or two. For some time now I have thought that an alignment between both Southern Districts and the Illawarra made sense...

Tolken only has experience as a high school and D1 coach and in programs that were well resourced in a time when their competition didn't. Most Eagles fans will agree he has been poor and that change is needed. They have issues in the scrum, they have a couple of good young props but continue...

    Shute Shield 2014

Penrith got up. They've really improved their competitiveness in the Shield this season.

    Super 7s

But has the 15man game ever had as much opportunity as 7s in terms of exposure. Initially learning the nuances isn't as big a determining factor as the entertainment factor. If someone finds what is presented as entertaining then they will tune in again. As they continue to do so they will learn...

NRC Law Variations - have your say

    Super 7s

It is possible to learn and be entertained at the same time. There's no reason why new fans couldn't be drawn to the 15 man game. As a NFL/College Football fan that's how I went about it. I don't buy the whole inability to get their heads around it argument. I know a few Americans who have...

    Super 7s

Nipper, Using similar reasoning then surely the Arena Football League should hugely popular as its essentially a shortened version of American Football . Quicker, more end to end (comparatively) offering higher scoring games. But that's not the case. Furthermore, the fact that the NFL is the...

NRC Law Variations - have your say

    1. Pretty much the Top14 set up. 2. That's okay. 3. I hate this one. Shouldn't a successful penalty be rewarded with a kick off? Who thought this was a good idea? What's worse, it's been shortlisted by the committee. Jeez.... The scrum for a missed kick. That's okay-ish. 4. Fair enough...

    Super 7s

Not great, no. But considering they got down to as low as 13,000 only a couple of seasons ago its a good recovery. Particularly in a market that has a great deal of options in terms of entertainment in general let alone in sporting teams in which to follow. If the Tahs continue on their way...

    Super 7s

It's the format that has the most opportunity to offer a fan the ability to actually build an attachment to the team. As good as 7s can be the best games cannot compete with a good game of 15s let alone an outstanding one. There's a far broader range of skills in 15s. Better characters. More...
