    Waratahs 2012

Actually, it is unlikely he will return to his home state as the Rebels have not expressed interest in him.

Waratahs in talks with James Haskell, Mike Phillips and Dwayne Peel

Michalak? My mouth just dropped open. Unless Barnes is permanently crocked then he probably doesn't play a position that the Tahs need an incoming "star" in. I can still remember how "successful" Michalak was in his previous venture into Super rugby. Best of luck to Tasi Luafutu.

    Waratahs 2011

I meant to add that the Rebels weakness is their defence midfield and out wide. The Waratahs need to work out how to exploit that, if they can with their current backline. Keeping it tight is probably not the best way to beat the Rebels.

    Waratahs 2011

Agree with Hawko. You don't want to bring Barnes on from the bench early and lose him with no replacement. If he is declared ready then I would start Barnes and be prepared to sub him early. I don't think Beale is a 10 myself. He doesn't have the wider vision to find space outside. In a...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Chilliboy just came in for me and I ended up on 402. Pretty chuffed with that considering poor Schmoo's injury and the failure of Ice as my captain. I've already subbed out Schmoo for SBW, but now I am holding 3 Lions players (with a Lions bye) and 4 Blues (Myth, Ice, Payne, Ranger) and I...

    Waratahs 2011

I think Cutch has gone alright so far - his stats are pretty impressive for the games he has played. He's not a world beater like Pocock but I think he has more potential than Alcock.

    Mitchell Out Of World Cup?

Cyclo - so is there any chance at all he could be back in time for the World Cup? Or even if it wasn't as bad as they thought Mitchell will still be out till next year? Regarding who will replace him - I guess we will see JOC (James O'Connor) stuck on the wing and Ioane will be the replacement. All of our...

    Ask Taf

I hate to say it, but it is hard to tale some of what TPN said at face value. This bit in particular: Yup, good work on building that half time deficit, I mean ascendancy. The other part to dispute is that the Tahs won the physicality out side the physicality outside of he scrum. Neither...

    Reds 2011

Much like the first game vs the Tahs the Reds failed to capitalise on heir line breaks in phase play. It is a tribute to the Tahs scrambling defence. I wonder if the Tahs problem is getting themselves up to play like that and compete week in week out for most of the game. However the Reds need...

    Force V Bulls - 2011R10

You mean where he double checked then said "good touch judging"? Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Mark Lawrence is a great ref and did a good job in that game in my opinion. Would love all supporters to back off refs as their first excuse for their teams losing. Teams need to take the...

    Reds 2011

No idea but you can't pack scrum after scrum on an injured collar bone. They will make sure he is good before letting him back.

    Western Force 2011

Will be interesting as to how they juggle Pocock and Hodgson back in. Jenkins and Brown have been improving and were good vs the Bulls last night.

When do players get subbed in if one didn't play? Does it matter if you do transfers first? Want to get poor injured Schmoo out early.

will oconner sign with reds? thoughts

This thread should maybe be renamed to "JOC (James O'Connor) to ???" thread. I reckon the delay plays more into the Force's hand to keep him. For the record I think it is best for Aus rugby if he remains at the Force. I'm sure that this won't be the last time that all five Australian provinces are fighting...

Rebel Army vs GAGR - Sydney Touch Game

Well if I play I will have played earlier but it would still be too early for me to make it.

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

361 here, with over 30 to be hopefully subbed in from Chilliboy after Bismarck didn't play and I left him in. I expect it to go down about 10 points after revisions though. Not too bad, I was saved by Franco vdM and some semi-decent scores from my loosies. I think my forwards actually outscored...

Gnostic's Form players for Wk 10

Being at the game I can say that TPN was not well for a long time and should've been of the ground way earlier. They desperately need to let the guy rest and heal or they could do some long term permanent damage. Even before he came off he was down for a long long time in the previous scrum...

    Force V Bulls - 2011R10

I think you will find the Cheetahs a different proposition in SA and with Smit.

    Western Force 2011

That is a damn tough run for the Force coming up. If they win three from the next five it will be a good effort. Any more will be mightily impressive. Altough they do have some key players returning at the right time, and some of their other "lesser known" forwards like Wykes are stepping up.

    Reds vs Waratahs, 2011R10

I can be gracious in defeat and victory, and the Reds were damn lucky to win that one. They were one scrum from a yellow and then another from a penalty try. They were saved by some timely subs on both sides. But Phil Waugh is ungracious in both victory and defeat and has shown no respect to...
