True. PS I play the piano.

    SA Rugby matters

Thanks Paarl. Just finished watching the game now and what a match. Fatastic intensity and almost a big comeback from the Cheetahs. Exellent skills, great intensity and tons of mongrel both sides. Bulls composure is what carried them to victory. Amazing how they don't panic. Spies was bloody...

    Is it fair dinkum ?

Aura Schmaura. For some reason refs ten to warn to ABs and then not see it through. I's weird.

    Is it fair dinkum ?

Fully agree Scarf. The ABs get away with murder, game after game. Somehow the refs show too much leniency. If the ref doesn't deal with the belly flops and those hanging onto the ball they have to be cleaned out aggreisvely so they think about it twice. The Wallabies again elected not do this.

    Is it fair dinkum ?

You're all kidding right? Lawrence has been one of the best going around. He had a great Super 14. HE had a shit game tonight and admittedly should have nailed the ABs (I was screaming at the box when Mccaw was repeatedly killing the pill and Lawrence did nothing). To suggest bribery is...

    SA Rugby matters

That's right. He was told he was too skinny. Then he proceeded to steal lineout ball for a season and the Bulls brought him back and put him on a diet. True what Paarl says. If there was no proper second tier players like him would have had no chance to break through.

    Berrick Watch

Why won't he give Cooper a chance? Why persist with something that hasn't really worked? Cooper needs time at the top so we can find out if he has it. He is flakey but there's loads to work with there.

INVICTUS - the movie of Mandela and the 95 RWC

    That looks terrible.

    Knives out for JO'N

I hope you're right. The Tahs Brumbies and Tahs Reds games this year were two of te most drab and boring games I have ever attended live and just playing one another won't be enough. The crowds will only improve if the quality of the rugby does.

They are "provincial" player who are "professional" but probably on the lowest rung of the professional ladder. There is still a club system that would feed the individual provinces that will make up the Kings.

Haha. Nice try. But you have it all the wrong way around. JH graciously attended sporting events, hoping his greatness would rub off on the event.

Thanks Scarf. Now I know why. :thumb

Judged by the crap that the bottom 2 teams served up in the CC this year, that's a good thing.

I don't know why, but this is making me cringe.

Paarl: Why did they (Sanzar) entertain a proposal from SA? Becuase of constant bleating, manipulation and and hard handed tactics from SARU. I'd suggest it's a case of keeping the peace. (Ok well if you're so bloody admant to submit a proposal then do it). And Melbourne will pull bigger...

Paarl to answer your first question. I don't know and nobody will know how the discussion went but I suspect it went something like: "Gentleman about expansion, we need to discuss Super 15." JON: "Well we only have four teams so we must get the 15th team. Marinos: "No we have to have it, our...

The government in SA no longer needs to find its feet. The owners of the Kings are playing the political card beautifully. It's quite sickening to watch. If only their intentions were so noble, but I do not believe it for one minute. Cheeky Watson is a piece of work. Each country with five...

Who gives a shit about a logo? Take the Victoria "V" that soccer and cricket use and stick a rugby ball in the middle. There you go. Do you have grassroots support and corporate buy-in and a hell of a good marketing team? That's what matters. No point talking to coaches if you technically...

I think Rusty has explained it. They want to be in a situation where the sports minister canlt poitn the finger at them and it looks like this will happen. Unless the Sydney lawyer's surname is Khompela or Watson.

They never claimed to be an all black team, but they will have a lot of black players for a variety of reasons like location and the people involved in the franchise. They will never publicly state a "policy", but rather a "preference" with the purpose of creating opportunity.
