In the normal course of events Foley would have started signing them in the second half in last years comp and then in the off season. Foley was preoccupied in sorting out his own contract and then he escaped to the Force. Cheika did the sensible thing and signed no one until he has seen them...

The Reds are fine,in every respect.Their annual reports confirm this.

No chance, I think you will find that the ground rental is based on the available public seats. Obviously it is in the SCG's interest to have events held there, that would be a factor in negotiations over ground rental.

Hmm, factoid? It was a number often quoted by the Mungo's,when they used it for big events prior to the Olympic stadium's existence. googled it and can find nothing. I'm happy that the number is close to the mark, when you go out there, it certainly appears that the members take up 1/2 off one...

I think the short kick in behind a rushing defence is a good tactic(at the right end of the field). QC (Quade Cooper) has obviously been practising this in the off season, he has made several good short little dabs that have yet to pay a dividend..but they will.

Huh? Member entry to Tahs's game is how much? You think the Tahs get 1 cent of memberships subs? So as far as Tahs revenue is concerned, SCG members entry is free. Corporates are charged plenty, but pay their fees direct to the SCG Trust, not the Tahs. The corporates are issued tickets to each...

Maybe the Tahs, should poach their management. Pretty impressive for a start up,even if it is in the A league. Was it made easier for them cos of the dissolution of the Gold coast franchise?

Yes, but I don't know when or how. Predicting they will be in the game at 65 minutes, plenty of times throughout the year, only to let it slip through their fingers. Hint, after 10 or so phases, there is more pressure on the ball carrier than the defence, when you continue to pick and drive.

My perception of the A league is obviously wrong. I am flabbergasted that they could outdraw a Tahs game against anyone, at anytime. But your point about non traditional dates is silly, they have been playing Super Rugby in late Feb longer than the A League has been in existence. As to the Tahs...

Getting back to the crowds, Tah's on Friday night drew 11,000 ish punters(how many were SCG members that don't pay a cent?). Central Coast Mariners(at Gosford) on Saturday nigh drew 18,700. 50% more spectators to a comp that almost collapsed less than a year ago!

The Tahs kicking game has been woeful for 3 years, with or without BB. I can't see how his appearance will make any difference to the kicking game.Having said that, IMO he has played much better at 12 than he has at 10.

pfft, Boxing will do nothing to improve his defence. Put him in a Reds jumper, and get some outsiders to criticise him. Missed tackles become clever tactics that attempt isolate the ball carrier. Problem solved.

You have clearly missed the point entirely. Not everything is purely QLD v NSW

So a reduction of 6,500 in attendance figures or 16% is a positive result? It might well be reasonable to expect a modest reduction from the previous high. But they had to resort to substantial give aways to struggle up to 84% of the previous year.If you believe that is a positive result, then we...

Well the Reds drew 33,500 for the Force in round 2 last year! Having members of the board supportive of a concept is not board approval. He has been very general in any comments regarding T3. Let's wait for a formal announcement of something specific before we celebrate anything.

The fucking intern there(Tahs) is useless, and didn't realise there were a few thousand ex Qlders having a parade around the corner today.

The Reds pulled in 41,500 at Suncorp last year. This year they were giving away $20 or $30 of free merchandise when you bought a ticket for this game(some 1 game special membership, as obviously their membership drive is also well short of budget) So IMO 35,000 is not a positive result. My...

Anyone else notice the player graphics before the game last night? TC looked like a ten year old. his hair tousled, and a jersey about 6 sizes too big. I'm trying to think whose jumper it might have been, it was huge.

I was going to go last night. After work had a few drinks and watched the Kiwi game, we decided it was a better idea to stay put a watch the game in the pub.Their food was infinitely better than the crap you but at the ground as well. I bet there are plenty who did the same.
