    Rob Horne

Thankfully I only saw one comment saying that Horne returns to form quickly after serious injury. Rubbish. Like any other player, he takes a while to come back to form after serious injury - which is he exactly what has happened at the Tahs in the past, where he has played some stinkers or...

    All Blacks Squad

Woodcock has struggled at scrum time this season, and last as well, not to mention often struggling for form too. Will be stoked if he is at LH ahead of Crockett and one of the Franks brothers when we play them. Crockett is surely one of the leading scrummaging LHPs in the world right now (if...

Call to arms! Act now before it's too late!

I'm not too bad; nearing the end of my recovery period from an operation. Was touch and go if I made the game, but in the end I struggled after sitting / driving for a bit in the last few days so the long term risk just wasn't worth it - and I was looking down the barrel of sitting in an...

Call to arms! Act now before it's too late!

Not sure if I can make the Belgian Beer Cafe pre-game either, sadly; I'll be at work for a part day on Friday and I'm not sure if my back will be up to another few hours without lying down.

Call to arms! Act now before it's too late!

I had no issues with a ticket myself; actually had a great ticket which I had to give up because sadly I am still not physically capable of getting to and from the game and actually sitting there watching it. I told them to ring ticketek to ask about further releases, who knows if they actually...

Call to arms! Act now before it's too late!

Well, it's impossible to get tickets from the ticketek website now. Also know people trying to get tickets at 9am this morning and they failed to get tickets as well. Looks like it will be a packed house.

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Light - my loosies were the same as you (Burger, Luke Braid, Robinson, Todd on the bench), until recently. I have shuffled my loosies - figured Robinson won't last more than 60 minutes. Kaino, Luke Braid, and Burger are now my flankers. Seriously considering dumping Luke Braid too as he may...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

My current team is disturbingly similar to hench's, with only 2 differences in the forwards (Robinson on the bench for Burgo, and Luke Braid in for Kaino), and one change in the backs (Fruean in for Ranger, but I am looking to swap Fruean). The funny thing is, when I did a quick first cut of...

    Australian Super Rugby Performances 2011

I think the Force need to be more than a team that dominates the breakdown with a set of very strong loosies. Their problems are more in their backline, and their ability to score tries. They need a 5/8 who can control the game to go with their pack, and a a few backs with either x-factor...

Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

Hard luck to the Tahs. Bloody amazing they made it this far. Other teams who have had similar injury tolls have imploded in the past. Only two comments on the Tahs' performance. First one is that I wish they'd cut down on the chip kicks and grubbers, especially mid-field. Second is that the...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Well, bloody bloody bloody hell. At the last minute I swapped Tom Carter for Stephen Brett. Tom Carter ends up the highest inside back point scorer in the game, and Brett gets -6. Lovely.

Yeah, the Reds ad was cheesy at the start and definitely needed more Giaan Rooney. Don't know what it is about her, but...

IRB U/20 Tournament and Oz Squad

Don't think I am too impressed with Nucifora's coaching of that squad.

    2011 S15: Refs for finals

What did Mark Lawrence do to always be overlooked? He is a much muuch better ref than Bryce Lawrence and Kaplan.

Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

Pretty sure than BKH is fine, isn't he? He came back a few weeks ago in club rugby - could've sworn I saw (a porky) BKH off the bench for Southern. Not sure what has happened to him since. Pretty sure McKibbin is good too - think he was subbed for Holmes as Holmes covered more positions off...

A number 8 on your back

I suspect that the Brumbies haven't adequately replaced their S&C coach since he went to the Reds.

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

I made a whole heap of changes incase all of the prices of my old players drop. Will finalise my team on Friday. edit: OzSash beat me to it!

Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

There's one issue with it being the KB (Kurtley Beale) show: he'll likely be at 10. It has only been the KB (Kurtley Beale) show this year when he's been at fullback. I actually think the loss of Hangers may be worse than TPN, because it meant that KB (Kurtley Beale) moved to 10 from 15.

A number 8 on your back

The worrying thing for me with Vaea is he seemed to do a Houston, and put on a lot of weight over the season (or so it looked to me). Test rugby is different from Super rugby, and I am not sure what number 8 will be suitable until we see them in test rugby. I am not exactly sold on any at the...
