Exactly. Elysse seems to spend more time here than in the UK.

Brumbies vs Highlanders, Sat 14 April 2018 - Dunedin

If Matt has a horror handling game like last week, the Highlanders will find this one easy. I am at a loss to understand why Powell wasn't reinstated.

Would depend exactly on what they were incentivising (to use a godawful word I hate) especially if not to see out his contract. And at the value of his contract, why wouldn't he want to see it out anyway? If the financial situation was so bad and the Board was faced with a situation where they...

But it was apparently noted in the report as an incentive payment, according to Jimmy_Crouch above.

Not heard of the massive numbers of performance based contracts now in the various public sectors?

So, not an incentive BH. More like a reward?

Super Rugby Round 9, 2018 - Waratahs vs Reds - Saturday 14 April @ SCG

Rob Simmons and running lines? Scrubber, do you mean backwards? I'm sorry, but Rob is just about the least effective ball runner in the game. I don't think he will pose the Reds any trouble at all outside of the lineout.

Funny thing about the hookers. BPA wasn't even in the frame for a Super side a couple of months ago and is now being touted as a Wallaby. Fitzpatrick is really a standard Super player and only has age on his side to be thought of ahead of the youngsters who have been around the squad now for a...

Super Rugby Round 9, 2018 - Waratahs vs Reds - Saturday 14 April @ SCG

And very successfully too, I might note. Nah. Not the mockers. Truly believe the Tahs will be too strong in most areas for the Reds. The scrum and general ruck areas might favour the Reds if they are on song, but the Tahs can score tries from anywhere so expect a big win.

Would be good to have MT back here playing, though I suspect he'll be in the Tahs' light blue if and when he does return.

Super Rugby Round 9, 2018 - Waratahs vs Reds - Saturday 14 April @ SCG

The form lines all point to a Tahs' win. Tahs thrashed the Rebels; Rebels beat the Reds. Tahs beat the Brumbies; Brumbies easy over the Reds. Tahs at least had set piece equality with the Brumbies, but the Brumbies finished on top of the Reds scrum. One area I think the Reds will be on par...

You have to persevere to see the true message - too many Reds.

    Predictions!

Hmmm. Same Lindo, but unlike you I am not at all confident now that the Rebels will top the conference. Third place behind the Tahs and then the Brumbies might be more realistic. Will know more about the Brumbies' chances after this weekend.

    Brumbies v Reds, Bruce Stadium, 7/4/2018 @7:45pm

Agree atm dru. Expect Coleman to rise to the occasion as the test match season approaches. Actually, Sam went pretty good in the time he was on, especially noting it was his first hitout after injury absence. Made plenty of tackles and I didn't see any misses. Hit it up and jumped well in the...

    Un-Australian Activities 2018

It's really not a surprise though if true. How many times and how many posters have lamented the apparent lack of skills coaching at Aus Super Rugby franchises. Even recollect someone saying that it's not up to the Super Rugby coaches to teach the players the skills or to develop them further; that they should...

    Refereeing decisions

We're getting close now I think. I am not wedded to the idea that a deliberate knock on must result in a YC because it is foul play. I see other situations that are just as much foul play, like deliberately pulling down a maul or taking out a jumper in the air in a lineout, but usually are not...

    Refereeing decisions

BH, we are on different pages it seems. Maybe my poor effort in describing my idea. I am only talking about the contentious issue of the YC for a deliberate knock on. I don't wish to change any other set of circumstances. The debate has been about whether or not a deliberate Knock on is...

    Refereeing decisions

But BH that is a decision the ref, sometimes with the help of the TMO, already makes in all situations. It would be nothing new. If the ref is of the opinion a try would have been scored, then YC, but if he has doubt, then just a penalty.
