9 Rounds In, Who's your Wallabies Captain

I like Moore as a captain, but he is only going to play 50-60 minutes usually. So the Vice Captain is going to be finishing off every match as Captain. I don't see a stand out leader in the rest

    Waratahs v Stormers, Round 9 2015, Saturday 11 April

I found it interesting that the Tahs struggle against the defensive structure of the Stormers. The are one of the few sides that don't rush, keep their spacing and just tackle So no disjointed pressuring line, just a steady blanket that on the night waited and tackled hard. Add to that...

    Waratahs 2015

Great interview with Mark Carroll and the change in culture at the Tahs, Robbo is doing extras on his day off? http://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/former-rugby-league-hardman-mark-carroll-the-secret-weapon-behind-waratahs-title-defence/story-e6frf4pu-1227299103247

    Blues v Brumbies Rd 9, Friday 10 April 2015

The problem is for all of them, they all look good behind a set of pigs going forward, the moments when the Reds were going forward, Genea looks great as well Against the Tahs & Blues White wasn't behind that dominant pack and he looked average. He gets grumpy and chippy, instead of working...

    Waratahs v Blues, Saturday 28 March, Round 7 2015

no, now the ref has to walk around with his fingers in his ears singing loudly and the coach will be tasered

    Waratahs 2016

Well, I got to see the first long form interview with Gibson on the Rugby Club last night. He certainly seemed competent, but he is vastly different in temperament from Cheika, I guess it will be Grey's role to provide the angry

    Waratahs 2015

After the game Cheika said in the post match that he agreed with the ruling, but was disappointed that is the only time it had been used all season, and with no real warning

rubbish, whatever was said has been deemed to be not worth anymore sanction, conspiracy? faark, and using Gregor Paul as the support for your point? mate you can do better than that ...............................

    Waratahs v Blues, Saturday 28 March, Round 7 2015

Whatever Cheika said clearly wasn't considered to be abusive by the refs. Because if it was, the Tahs and Wobs would be looking for a new coach.

    Waratahs v Stormers, Round 9 2015, Saturday 11 April

McCutcheon is another safe workrate unit who never lets you down, but will rarely win you a game either

Hopefully Cheika can continue to help referees and their performance

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Maybe, but the he has never had an issue doing a shift with the Ponies, and we aren't going to carry two locks on the bench usually. So it will be a 6/5 option stepping up or Simmons playing 80. So the question for me is whether a tired Simmons would be any better than say Fardy finishing at lock

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Realistically the only two forwards I would expect to play 80 minutes are Hooper and Fardy, the rest will be managed

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Doesn't that depend, who comes on as reserve lock? The presumption of say Simmons and Carter starting, Skelton coming on for Carter and later Simmons going off, and then Fardy going to lock as Higgers or McCalman start a session is not the worst approach

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

We lack athletic, jumping locks. I have no issue seeing Fardy finishing a session at lock with say Huggers coming on at 6. I would be concerned to see him start at lock Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

McCalman has played a load of 6, but he plays tighter than the rest, so he wouldn't work as well if Palu was 8. With a Palu\McCalman nexus a 8, it fits well to have a Fardy\Higgers option at 6 who can play wider/freer roles.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

When you pick the bench, I don't think you would budget for either Pocock or Hooper to play less than 80 minutes Who ever starts will play 80, the other wouldn't make my bench without injury, there are better 6 & 8 options than Pocock or Hooper

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

I think all the 7s are lessor scavengers under the current interpretation, the stats show they are all getting less turnovers

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Pocock still looks like a LHP running the ball to me, he very rarely looks like he is an actual attacking threat, but he was better Using the presumption that Hooper will be one of the selected 7s and probably starting in a team playing Cheika ball, his back up is the question. Now do you...
