The Transition from Schoolboy Rugby to Colts - Is there a better way?

Round 1 of Subbies and round 4 of Premier Colts last weekend. Everyone should have decided what their footy requirements and commitments are for the year. Those studying are at TAFE or Uni, and those not are either spending M&D's money on a Gap Year or they have landed some sort of paid...

Union or League? The pros and cons for school leavers

    "Club Rugby" on 7Two

How do some Clubs "get away" with posting copies of their games on Vimeo and other similar sites? I would have thought that rugby needs more eyes watching more games. It seems a little short sighted.

    "Club Rugby" on 7Two

The Draw has a full round of games at 3pm on 25 April according to this:-> http://www2.rugbylink.com.au/common/pages/public/rv/draw.aspx?gradeid=18073_1&save=0&entityid=53029&id=DRAW

Union or League? The pros and cons for school leavers

Chooks missed out on getting Angus Crichton's signature. Bunnies poached him even though Angus was in the Chooks SG Ball team while still at School. By all accounts he is a top shelf recruit for both codes.

    Sydney Colts - 2015

@The Baz, The player points as recorded on Rugby link are a joke. One hopes that the interns at SRU are looking at the Player Points on the official Team Sheets that I assume the Managers are still submitting to them, and doing the calculations to endure that things are above board and...

Union or League? The pros and cons for school leavers

^^^ It is good to see that leagueunlimited website is about as reliable as the new Super Dooper ARU mandated Rugby Link competition management system for getting player stats.:) I know that Fivekick have had a Schools (U18) SOO game before the main SOO match each year, and sometimes there is a...

    Shute Shield BBQs and Canteens

Depending primarily on weather, a 4 Colts game BBQ can raise between $500 and $800 for not much effort. Do you invite people over to your place and not provide them with a feed and drink, or even the opportunity to buy a feed and/pr a drink when they are at your joint? It should be in the...

    "Club Rugby" on 7Two

^^^^^Next weeks TV game on 7Two is your mob vs Pirates, but it is on Sunday, not Saturday (probably due to the races) and just to confuse the punters, it is a 2pm kick off on Sunday according to the draw on NSW RU web site: Warringah v West Harbour (Televised game on 7Two) [Sunday game - 2 pm...

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2015

But the AICES players need more games as a representative team to provide a legitimate chance for its players to present the best possible in front of the NSW Schools RU selectors - "The Pathway". Currently CHS get 4 trial games: against CCC, ISA, CAS and AAGPS, and they typically improve...

    Shute Shield 2015

^^ The Uni vs Gordon Colts games have been played. They won't get the full points (215) for that round when it is played because they lost Colts 3. With the multiplier that means that they can max at 205 for the round, although they have already banked 45 points for the round from Colts...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Be nice if the Wobs Selectors had a dilemma of this nature for more than a couple of positions in their team.

    Sydney Colts - 2015

Colts Club Championship Watch: Still early days yet but the usual suspects have already established a spot in the top 1/2 of the 2015 table. There are a maximum of 55 points available to a club each week, based on all 3 colts teams winning with a 4 try BP. Randwick, 220 points Northern...

    Shute Shield 2015

Club Championship Watch: Still early days yet but the usual suspects have already established a spot in the top 1/2 of the 2015 table. The Corporation are giving up a bit of a headstart with their First Grade losing two games, although they may claw some points back when the postponed games...

    Pic needs a caption

No way. I remember the specific instructions: never expose it to bright light, never let it touch water, and most importantly: no matter how much it cries or begs, never feed it after midnight.

    Shute Shield 2015

Caught up on a recording of The Corporation vs MMM. It looked like the Students were ... ... ... umm ... ... ... like students playing against men. Full of youthful vigour, skills and passion, they didn't seem to have the old school cunning amd rugby smarts to be able to win a game of footy...

    Shute Shield 2015

^^^Only very minor changes, nothing that would worry the clubs too much. With the NRC gobbling up all the professional players at the end of Super Rugby, the traditional professional Rock Stars being parachuted into clubs for the last couple of rounds and the finals series (primarily Wicks...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Like spotting the first swallow, I'd like to see BamBam produce a repeat performance before I'm calling the Hooper v Pocock v Gill v The Rest over. It was a pleasing return to form and it has thrown some ginger into the contest for the Wobs 7 jumper, and Gill made a statement overnight as a...
