Stormers vs Rebels Rnd 18 Super Rugby 2012

De Jongh under the posts for his second off a clever inside run.

Stormers vs Rebels Rnd 18 Super Rugby 2012

Bit of a question mark over that. Ball may have gone forward off Blake. But well, done Rebels. Lots of continual pressure.

Stormers vs Rebels Rnd 18 Super Rugby 2012

Rebels finally get a try. Well deserved but fantastic Stormers defence.

Stormers vs Rebels Rnd 18 Super Rugby 2012

Stormers must be close to a yellow. Lots of infringements inside their 22.

Stormers vs Rebels Rnd 18 Super Rugby 2012

Rebels doing better than I expected. It's not exactly a strong Rebels side and they have actually stretched the Stormers at times.

    Reds v Waratahs Rd 18 2012

My seat was pretty high and the Tahs were warming up on the opposite side from me, so I had issues identifying some of their players. There was this one guy warming up with a heavily strapped knee and he could barely run. As he warmed up it got better but it was clear that he was carrying a bad...

Stormers vs Rebels Rnd 18 Super Rugby 2012

Don't know. They've turned down a heap of penalties so far. Good luck to the Rebels but the Stormers defence is holding strong.

Stormers vs Rebels Rnd 18 Super Rugby 2012

To clarify, it was sickening. Aplon just slumped. Surely after being knocked clen out players should have to go off for safety reasons.

Stormers vs Rebels Rnd 18 Super Rugby 2012

Aplon knocked out by his own player. Unfortunate elbow. Why the hell isn't he off?

Hilgendorf is looking pretty good. Back to his Force days from a few years ago.

    How long will Quade get?

This is what I thought too. The only other thing in his factor is Barnes slipped into it. Will be touch and go if he gets suspended.

Will the Reds make the Final?

The crowd announcer said it about four times before the match started. Those who arrived right before kickoff wouldn't have known I guess. Nothing like getting there 90 mins before kick off to find out the prematch game was moved!

    Brumbies v Blues Round 18

Yeah great call from the ref to override the AR. 30 to 16. 2 to go.

    Brumbies v Blues Round 18

Too many hogs in the Brumbies backlines most of the time.

    Crusaders v Force R18 2012

That is not a great Force team, though. Pocock, their best player, is out. Hodgson, one of their top players, is out. Wykes is also missing. I hope the Force can get the ball to their back three a bit more, as they are probably the main danger for the Force. The problem is the Force...

    Kafe's Chalkboard

10 to 15 minute you tube clips every couple of weeks showing in depth tactics from a team would be fabulous from G&GR. Similar to what Austin and co. do now, but more depth and longer analyses. Some fancy overlays like Kafer has would be nice though. Kafer's time is limited, so I don't know...

    Rebels 2013

Tyrell is an interesting one. I would've classified him as a journeyman based on his appearances for the Force. He is comfortably behind Whitaker and Charles in my book. I haven't seen him in Cardiff, but I would be surprised if he's much better. edit: especially considering that I heard that...

    Kafe's Chalkboard

They had an NRL one on Fox Sports which was fairly interesting. Problem is that it has a limited life as there is only so many tactics you can talk for 30 mins to an hour each week without getting repetitive.

    Reds v Waratahs Rd 18 2012

Actually, with Hooper on board there's really only room for one of Cutch, Alcock and Jenkins, but as far as I am aware both Cutch and Alcock both have a contract for next year. Of those 4, as you said Jenkins has the least utility value so I'd assume he's gone. If the Rebels don't pick up one...

    The NSWRU Board

One line summary: when the ARU gave control back to the NSWRU the NSWRU's first act was to vote every single ARU rep off the board, and stick Arvid Peterson in charge instead. The story I heard is that some of the ARU reps were not too happy to be immediately removed. As Lindommer alluded to...
