    England v Australia

Except this season AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) wasn't consistently good, and did not consistently "make a ridiculously small number of errors". He was exposed on the wing defensively numerous times this year (unusual for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) but it did happen), was fairly anonymous in attack, and I thought was pretty damn average on...

    Brumbies 2015

Do they have cash in the bank though? I heard they only got out of trouble through the sale of their old training venue to a property developer. I can't imagine that money would last long in a mult-million dollar industry, especially one that revolves financially around sponsorship and...

    RWC 2015

Fardy has been a top performer in the wallabies for 2 seasons now. Much more effective then McCalman and Palu have shown at test level. Agree with the others.

    Brumbies 2015

Lilo back in form will be a massive boost the back-line. He was rubbish last year, he struggled back from an injury but I expect him 100% next year.

Done. Looks like Butler is in the running for the RUPA medal of excellence. Well done to him. A funny thought, If Pocock were in the running, I wonder if his recent stint would of had a positive or negative effect, given it is a medal voted by his peers (correct me if I am wrong).

    Brumbies 2015

This quote is filled with sarcasm based on completely incorrect information. Does this look like a post that challenges the points I made in my posts? And If you call challenging my posts by calling them baseless - backed on incorrect information - as you continually seem to be implying I...

    Brumbies 2015

Do you even read my posts? When did I say that?.. Never! If you learn how to read I stated that AFTER AN OUTSTANDING SUPER RUGBY SEASON he should be considered, and his destructive style would be preferred over a workman-like style. And I never said you shouldn't question my opinions. I...

    Brumbies 2015

I was referring to the dominate ball-running and destructive style each of those number 8's have demonstrated at one time in there career. As the discussion was involving the similarities in Samo and Fotu. My point is, that destructive players with primarily dominate ball-running and dominate...

    Brumbies 2015

Based on everything above - you are right he would not, and should not be selected. He isn't in the same league... yet. I would say this is his last season to prove he is though. IF at the end of the 2015 super rugby he has a dominate season then he should get selected, or at least be...

    Brumbies 2015

I disagree. If you watched some of the game in his debute season in 2012, the SA tour especially. He was extremely destructive. He has struggled with injuries too which has hurt his game time. This year should be his first year at the Brumbies where he is fully fit and could be a regular...

    Brumbies 2015

I should remind you about Radike Samo. An older bloker who had 1-2 decent seasons with the wallabies. If Fotu has an outstanding season their absolutely no reason why he wouldn't be select for the wallabies and serve them for a good 1,2 or even 3 seasons.

I'd put Butler as a future Wallaby. Is Smiler a good lock prospect?

Spring Tour - Wallaby Forwards - What do the stats tell me?

some great insights into the wallabies tactics from these stats. I'm guessing the last 10minutes of the Wales game when Hooper wasn't making the first tackle (which was a lot), he didn't hit many rucks as he didn't want to give away a penalty as it would have lost us the game. Alternatively...

Spring Tour - Wallaby Forwards - What do the stats tell me?

Very interesting stuff. Great work. Certainly highlights what many G&GR posters are so critical of Hooper for. This shows he is late in too many rucks reflecting his poor impact stats. He is also very low in the defensive ruck stats which is a worry for any flanker.

    RWC 2015

It's frustrating when the person disagreeing completely disregards your valid and logical points. They disagree by simply saying "I disagree" with no valid arguments. And then they go on to say "its all conspiracy theories against the Tahs". What a load of bull. It's like arguing with a...

    RWC 2015

Some people are a little slow so I need to repeat myself.

    RWC 2015

you do realise it has only been the Tah fans that are saying "conspiracy theories". It's not even funny any more. There is no conspiracy that the wallabies coach is also the coach of a province. Just poor circumstances. Again, meaning the wallabies coach has a massive influence on all Tah...

    RWC 2015

If their service is slow then no. The wallabies whole tactics would fall apart if the half-back doesn't have quick service no matter how good their kicking is.
  19. Viking

    RWC 2015

No. You are right quick service is the same. But certain provinces favours a kicking 9 compared to a running nine at times. The province that favours the running 9 will be beneficial towards wallabies selection.

    RWC 2015

But the Brumbies implement a territory game at times. and have been successful doing so. This means less opportunity for Nic to show off his running game etc. as he is concerned with making territory. Does he still get to show off quick service? Yes. But not as much as Phipps at the Tahs. For...
