And Kings. They aren't allowed to play club rugby either.

They are only narrow because they are specifically what the issue is here.

    NSW AAGPS 2020

I assume thats a reference to the selection policy, or lack of, which is a separate discussion. Can you cite a comparable example where school sport was able to be played but club sport wasn't?

    Wallabies 2020

Are you thinking of Lalakai Foketi? He’s a good player, not quite Wallaby material though. EDIT: I see now you are referring to Brumbies players. Len Ikatau is who you are thinking of I think

    NSW AAGPS 2020

According to the news report I just saw, Greater Sydney will be treated as a single zone as far as community sport is concerned. If that’s right it’s little wonder the AAGPS have bought some time to seek an exemption. That would be nothing short of outrageous and totally unfair on kids playing...

    Wallabies 2020

As you mention, Godwin and Ralston, and Lee-Warner could do a Bradbury, but probably only the wider squad at this stage. Lance could be an outside chance but I’m guessing they’d rather develop the young fellas on a risk/return basis.

    NSW AAGPS 2020

It would make sense to keep the door open. There were only 3 cases in the state today, so if things change and they miss a couple of weekends it would be possible to make up those games either by going in to next term or even just 1sts, 2nds, 3rds playing mid week games. EDIT: I have just...

    NSW AAGPS 2020

I note that it's only a recommendation, not a directive. Not at this point anyway. I guess we will see what comes out of the meeting today but given that the recommendations for the continuation of sport - i.e. no spectators, only players and coaches, etc - were in place for the GPS comp...

    NSW AAGPS 2020

My understanding is that this directive was specifically to schools and NSW Health will be issuing further guidance with regards to community sport etc over the coming days. But it’s not looking good from any angle.

State of the Union (origin) discussion

A way around this could be to have higher representative fixtures over a couple of weeks. To satisfy the purists, the first week is the Qld v NSW Origin game, and the WA v Vic match as it’s curtain raiser. It’s not completely pure as ACT is considered part of NSW, Tas is in with Vic, and SA...

    Wallabies 2020

Yeah that was one thing I found confusing about BRs post, which I have to say was a pretty credible post overall. But he was talking about taking things slow with the rookies and letting the experienced players guide them, and then all of a sudden Deegan was installed as the Wallabies #10...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yeah that’s what I was getting at. His views on how rugby is perceived are largely right. His view that it should merge with rugby league, or any hope that it ever will, aren’t.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Knox has been pushing the barrow that union needs to merge with league in Australia for ages. He can't be taken seriously and has no concept of the global nature of rugby. At least he recognises that we have good players in union, and his logic is more due to the lack of any tribalism and...

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Satisfactory answer. All the Reds pigs were defending brilliantly so he wasn’t standing out to me. But in the context of the other 7s over the weekend, fair enough.

What rule is that? You can pick a wing on the wing, jersey number doesn’t matter.

Ah sorry, didn’t realize that. Fair play.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

I don’t think there was a standout amongst the 7s this week either, but I’d be interested to know what metric people are using to have McReight as the unanimous 7OTW. I didn’t really notice him much and presumably it’s not the 5 carries for 2 run meters.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

If these are going to count as a vote that is fine, but I need you to at least quote a post so that I know whose team you are using as a template!
