    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

I went out to Newington this morning. TAS won 24-0. The Newington boys played with spirit and did better than the score would suggest considering disrupted preparation and at least one absent player. There were weaknesses in the TAS play although, and this is TAS tradition, there were some...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

Weather looks okay at the moment, touch wood. Now I'm a one-eyed TAS supporter, but hope for the sake of Rugby Cheer Squad and the N boys that the weather holds up.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

I don't feel at all comfortable about NvA. This is the first match I might actually be able to get to this year!

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

I don't think so, LG. They are showing as two wins, one bye. I tried to check the trials, but couldn't spot anything beyond a TAS loss to Newington.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

Thanks, IS. If SJC is that good, all sides will really have their work in front of them. Next week should be very interesting.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

I saw that, IS. So SJC is now the team we should all combine against? I think that it's more open than that. I reckon TAS can beat SJC! :)

So third round 3 results were Shore 22 v Kings 21, Grammar 10 v Scots 7, Joeys 61 v High 0, TAS 26 v View 5. We now have 5 teams on 4 points - SJ, Scots, TAS, Grammar and Shore. SJ is the only undefeated side with 2 wins. Prognostications anyone?

As a former prop, yes! Not all props are dumb

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

Hi Rugby cheer squad. This is a Rugby forum so I hope that people will forgive me for going off topic. As a father of daughters, I am very conscious of the absence of competitive paths for girls in sport. Both my girls had their main competitive paths outside school. I don't agree with the...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

You may be right, although Scots is in front at present on points. Behind them, we currently have six teams on 2. Maybe SJC vs Scots? But I'm not ruling out my old school (TAS) yet. With any luck it should be a very good comp. I couldn't resist this comment, however. Now that TAS is going...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

That sounds a very tight match. I had expected TAS to win. It's going to be very good to see all the third results to give us a first real feel for what is shaping as a very interesting competition.

    Wow. I didn't pick that!

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

From the TAS official Facebook page: "Eddie Pitt set up a try to propel the GPS 16s President's XV As to win the Martin Pitt (no relation) Memorial Shield at the NSW Combined All Schools rugby championships in Sydney today, defeating Independent Schools Association 35-12! Meanwhile Sam...

    NSW Schools Under 16 Championships - 2015

Three TAS boys. Harrison Jackson and Samuel Thatcher, forwards, Edward Pitt backs. No feel for how they might rank.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

TAS preseason against Farrer. TAS won the firsts (26-15), 2nds, 16As, 14As and 13As. Farrer won 3rds, 4ths and 16Bs. TAS also won the chess, lost both basket ball matches and the clay shooting. Tennis cancelled because of rain. Continues the result runs suggesting that TAS will be competitive...

Thank you for this. That suggests that TAS will be competitive this year.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

For reasons I won't bore you with, I have been completely out of touch, very out of touch. It seems that TAS were playing Iggies yesterday in trials. Is this correct? Does anybody know the results?

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

Preseason Canberra Grammar 19 v TAS 7 in wet and cold conditions this afternoon.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

Good news, not so good news and the start of a new discussion. Good news first. Helen, eldest, has taken a job in Copenhagen for Maersk. The good news is that for my birthday, I refuse to say which one, she organised a collective birthday present that will see the two of us at least at some...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

I was quoting the TAS web site. I must have misread it. Checking the detailed results, SBHS defeated TAS 26-24. Thanks for the correction.
