    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

I’ll happily concede several reasons not to play him, but that isn’t one of them
  2. KOB1987

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

League hookers and halfbacks are virtually interchangeable. The league 5/8 is more like a union 9, but one that can play 10. Ricky Stewart as an example

Fuck, Sean Connery is dead Edit: wrong thread, wrong forum, but I’ll leave it here anyway

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

I reckon throw out the licquorice all sorts next week: 9. McDermott 10. Harrison 11. Koroibete 12. Lolesio 13. Petaia 14. Wright 15. Maddocks Nothing to lose, and it is realistically forward looking.

Yeah not quite though. This current crop coming through are next level. Mostly they aren’t ready for test rugby, but they’ve beaten all in front of them at their own age group. The gap will narrow, how much is the unknown.

I agree with most of that except for number 7 bit. Michael Hooper would be an awesome league hooker or halfback. Similarly Damien Cook would be a great number 7.

Yes it was very disappointing that he didn’t play at school this year, because an injury might disrupt his contract negotiations. However, the Covid situation did play a part in that. I do like the pathway that the schoolboys/u18s and the U20s offers, but I think that unless these players are...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

It’s the Roosters now apparently. However, I have a suspicion he’s actually going to choose rugby.

All blacks generally come out of the blocks slow. Cheika managed a record result against them first game just last year. It was put down to an anomaly, which by and large it was.

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Longer term it’s Harrison. Not sure I’d throw him into the cauldron at Suncorp but if he’s the best we have what else are we meant to do.

Am at the ground now, has a pretty good vibe. Punters spaced out but it’s actually good to walk straight up and get a beer and a pie!

It’s coming in from the west now, will piss down for the next couple of hours. Might be gone by kick off though

Says in the Aus this morning that Rennie didn’t want to exercise either the Giteau law or the 2 O/S player option, rather concentrate on the locally based talent, mostly because of the performances of Philip and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto).

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

When I got on there was a link for it but nothing played when I clicked on it. I saw elsewhere that you could download the Argentina Rugby app so I did that but it crashed my iPad twice so I deleted it. I then saw the first try by Len Ikatau on Twitter but the most noticeable thing was that...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

No but I think we have to trust the game plan. If Hodge ends up at 10 I’m pretty sure we aren’t going to trying to put blokes in holes.

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

defensively (in principle) it would be fine but we'd want to be taking a lead in with it
  17. KOB1987

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Suspect we'd then be 10. Hodge 12. Simone 13. Paisami 14. Daugunu 15. Petaia (or the other way around the last couple) I'd be OK with that for 20 minutes, not 50 though!
  18. KOB1987

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Hooper would be penned in to play the whole game, if he was a risk I reckon they would have gone a 6:2 bench. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) would be the second reserve loosie, I think the selection of McReight is to inject some energy into the back half of the game - the Hoopreight

Hodge is the backup 10 by the looks of that too. Very weird

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

I can understand the 9/10/12 strategy but not that JOC (James O'Connor) is gone completely
