A spin off of this one is stigma of the wallabies weak scrum in the minds of referees might be washed away.

What Quade should have been doing

Just happy to see it finally tried. Not saying it is my prefered option. My biggest issue for that inside centre gig is to run the backline defence. The two big performers in this role are Barnes and Ant Fainga'a and my prefered option is a two horse race between these two. Barnes is a bit...

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

I don't rate Spies but Rossoow would be a big loss for you blokes.

What Quade should have been doing

I would be happy to see it tried and I think JOC (James O'Connor) will be a great centre but I want to find out whether he and Cooper will compliment eachother. There is only one way to find out.

What Quade should have been doing

I seriously would love to Know how this fits into the AB's stratagy (not being a smart arese with this question)? How many did Nonu make? Was Carters defensive load strategic to keep other players fresh? Where Quade was poor was his skills were below par (by his own standards). His...

RWC trials for 6N teams & discussion of NH squads

I have a soft spot for Scotland. They often show the intent to have a crack at more expansive rugby but thier basic skill level is just shithouse. One of the commintators early in this game said the problem with these sorts of trials as players get overconcearned with staking their own claim...

Fox Sports v Channel 9 Wallabies v All Blacks coverage this Saturday

So much for the add free promotion for fox sports. those little pop up ones on the bottom of the screen are annoying.

    Level 3 Coaches . . .

I know a couple. It is a pretty exclusive club or used to be. Anybody in Brisbane rugby circles know a bloke called Paddy Bree? It's a long shot but I thought I would ask.

Maybe some of the more confident younger players had the cockyness kicked out of them and have been brought back to earth.

    No Sharpie

Completely disagree. Sharpe was A standout lock in the Super 15 and Saying he was THE standout lock is just more hyperbole. Horwill and Simmons were also among the standout locks this year and if it was about THE standout lock this year, it would be Horwill. I am confident Simmons will Start...

    No Sharpie

Sharpe is a good player but he is a magnet for hyperbole. He is deffinatly RWC bound but I don't see him as done enough to unseat the Horwill, Simmons partnership.

The positives & failings from Bledisloe 1 2011

It was good to see him and Digby get a few away.

    It's the coach

I'll pay that comment about Martin Johnson Groucho.

    No Sharpie

    Simmons will be retained.

I would be happy if the eliphant could distribute.

    Waylon's Axe

He and Digby are very similar in this regard. To me Drew is a prime example of a player who has identified his faults and worked his ring off to improve and we are seeing the result of a very complete player. There are not many faults in his game these days. I have a lot of respect for him.

    Waylon's Axe

Body height is also a problem for Elsom. 197cm and 105kg gives him a lanky physique and easy to knock over unless he gets his centre of graity low. His technique in contct is shocking. Higgers is a bit more solidly built but he carries his body height lower in contact than Elsom. That is what...

Front row held up well depite not having the first choice one. A true indictor of depth I would say.

    It's the coach

Complete lack of composure on the field. Forget the flack about Rocky the player but Rucky the captain had no control over his team. Players did not look like the were on the same page. Un charictoristic as it may be, the communication between 9 and 10 looked incohenant. We need a captain...
