    Where to for Super Rugby?

Upset. I cannot speak for anyone else but I'm not upset about his statement. I see it as an attempt to try and shut down any suggestion of the SA franchises moving north as being legitimate. What I find amusing is that it comes across as a bit panicked.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

    Just throwing up another alternative.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

At the longest you could do 8 weeks if broadcasters request it. Two pools of four. Home and away with the top 2 going into the semi final and the final.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The Champions League concept is the way forward for SANZAAR in my opinion. With the developing leagues in the Americas the opportunities to grow exist in that format over any other. We should seriously be looking at the IPRC concept right about now. NZ has the talent to form a pretty competitive...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Martin Anaryi has publicly stated that the Pro 14 are keen on adding more SA franchises. The SANZAAR statement feels a bit panicked from my reading. And I can see some interesting phone calls in the background.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

We all know RA will partner up with the NZRU. They're too weak not to. So. Seeing as that the likely outcome we could end up with a Pacific Super 12. Our five. There five plus Fiji and a combined PI squad funded by The group who tried to buy the Warriors based out of Hawaii. Which is somethinv...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It could be done reasonably simply. Atlantic and Asia-Pacific. Argentina folds into the NZ conference we take Fiji and the Force and we transform the IPRC into a third conference. We all play our own conference opponents twice home and away and then 3 or 4 teams from the other two conferences...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Won't happen. Or so I've been told by many people in the past as I've suggested that outcome.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

BOOM!!! Saw this coming as soon as the Cheetahs and Kings announced their move north. Seriously. It's time to open the dialog with Forrest about getting serious about the IPRC. Let NZ sort out their own structure.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

The third round of MLR has been completed. A really good weekend of matches. Highly competitive across the board with improving standards all round. The first game of the round was on Friday (Thursday evening Austin time) between the Austin Elite and New Orleans Gold. This game had the widest...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Brazil have gotten the better of Chile fairly regularly over the past 5 years. They actually just beat them over the weekend. But the number of teams comes down to financial resources and the Brazilian Union has access to more of them.

It was so that they wouldn't conflict with the assumed A-League Grand Final that never came.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Liga Sul-Americana de Rugby. It's apparently the working title of the league at present. It will feature 10 teams. Four from Argentina likely from outside of BA. Two from each of Brazil and Uruguay and one from both Chile and Paraguay. Early suggestions that it will be a full home and away...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

The LSR confirmed to be launching in 2020. Which makes a lot of sense in regards to getting all the necessary pieces in place.

2018 TV ratings and crowd numbers

Probably not. But what good are $75 tickets if you're getting sub 10k crowds to games?

And fits in better where the game is strongest in the city. Which means we'll see more people turnout. I'm sure Manly wouldn't mind another tenant as it would help push the case for some upgrades. And it did look a damn sight better on TV. Even with the shit house result.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I've never met anyone who likes the prick. Yet he has the highest rating radio show in the country. Who are these people listening to him.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

If Samoa and/or Tonga get a run I can see it in the form of a combined side. Not sure where it would be based though. Possibly somewhere here. Hong Kong actually has a fledgling pro 15s set up as wll.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

I actually had a very similar thought to this watching last night. I'll be willing to bet the Japanese Top League side will be the Wild Knights. They were said to have ambitions toward bidding for Super Rugby before the whole mess. Could see them looking at this as a good alternative.

Christ, if they've managed to sell out Brookvale Oval (23,000) I'd be fine with them making it their permanent playing base. Better with 13-14,000 at the SFS for sure.
