    Force v Blues - 2011R04

The Blues have big names and firepower all over the park. Offensively and defensively they should be very very hard to take on. Consistency has always been our problem so fortunately for the Force, we won last week so we're due for a loss. But I don't think it will happen.

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

Bahahaha....yeah right. Link has absolutley no concerns over QC (Quade Cooper) tackling and defense....it's purely an attacking strategy....LMAO

Is ANYONE on ANY CHANNEL showing this game?!?!? Geez I'd love to see Cully run again!!

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

    1. I'm not talking about the actual MOTM. I'm talking about guys who came on this site after every game, as per usual, and rated their Top 3 players. Cooper hardly featured at all from memory. 2. MOTM mentions is not about the individual honor. It's about individual effort in a team sport...

A bit of niggle and shoving never hurt anyone From the SMH

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

It would suggest though that his attack wasn't enough to out-weigh his defensive frailties. Again, his defense almost lost the Wallaby's the HK match and, I think, was a factor in the Pommy loss. Perhaps Link has this all accounted for in some grand master plan but after all the noise QC (Quade Cooper)...

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

He doesn't have to win it every game....but he hardly rated AT ALL....not 2nd or 3rd in most people's reckonings the whole tour.

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

The problem TBH, is that there were about 6 games after this where QC (Quade Cooper) hardly featured at all in this sites own MOTM ratings. You could argue that his defense was a big factor in them almost losing that game - as it was when they faced up to the Poms. By the time they got to Italy, he was...

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

I think you guys are over-rating QC (Quade Cooper). His international season was pretty average last year - I don't think he hardly got a mention in MOTM honors on the EOYT for any of the games - and now everyone knows what he brings to the table (and what he doesn't bring) teams will shut him down...

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

Nah....QC (Quade Cooper) said himself that his defense needs to get better and it's something he would work hard at in the off-season. Awesome results to date.... As for the whole not wanting to physically burn him out etc....bullshit. Dan Carter and Johnny Wilkinson do more than carry their defensive...

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

Meh....tackling - defense....if you don't have the heart and/or balls to do it then no technique in the world will help you

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

If you're Link though....how many games can you afford to lose at the expense of devolping a player for the Wallabies??
  15. Bullrush

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

Technique schmec-nique.....if he doesn't want to tackle then forget it..... Tackling is probably 98% heart and attitude....

Is Link's calculated approach hindering Coopers development?

Didn't he make noises at the end of the EOYT about improving his defense and having big forwards run at him all day long or something?? Those must have been very short days.....

    Waratahs vs Crusaders - 2011R03

Here's why I think the Kiwi teams don't get as penalised as much as you guys think they should. (Get ready for the enlightenment......lol) Put simply, it's the pure aggression that the Kiwis put into the tackle and breakdown that makes it hard to call against. It's hard to say that guys are...

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Fair comment on the NZ teams (the Blues have 5 AB forwards as well....Woodcock, Kev, Afoa, Williams, Borich and Kaino...) I don't know that the Chiefs and Highlanders would get dealt to like the Tahs did though....perhaps those will be the games to really judge the forward pack depth...Tahs v...

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

The Wallabies biggest problem this year will be in the forwards - no surprises there probably. The Tahs have completely dominated their Aussie competition only to be made to look like school kids against the Crusaders. There is real class out in the backs but apart from Pocock, there is very...
