    Queensland Reds 2024

There definitely was improvement on the discipline side of things, but it doesn't feel "sticky" yet. I could see us backsliding pretty quick if it's not a focus for a new coach. London Irish had a pretty terrible run of reds, yellows and penalties the last few years under him. Some of it can be...

That's the big issue I have with him too, but I guess there is some hope that in a new role he'll try a new approach, having been burnt by ill discipline at London Irish previously.

Looks like Les Kiss is the favourite, with Nathan Grey, Toutai Kefu and Heenan rounding out the candidates. Scott Johnson a controversial potential Director of Rugby option and Chieka still a longshot. I'm not super hot on Les Kiss, but given that list my first preference is anyone but Grey.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I'm sure the rugby coverage will all be run by the Stan team and should be fine. The combo might actually benefit Rugby thanks to cross promotion. There shouldn't be much in the way of clashes either, given the timezones involved.

Yeah, I think a few of those fringe guys, particularly ones with players in their position in the rehab group are going to need to take their first up chances against SA (and possibly Argentina) to have a shot at the world cup. Particularly Vunivalu, Nonggorr and Uelese. I think Faessler, Gordon...

    League Targets

I'm still a bit iffy on going too hard on recruitment from League, but I do have to admit it's probably a pretty good time for it. The negotiations around the CBA are not going well and the longer they take to resolve them the more opportunity there is to lure players across...

Australia A - Back on the Cards

I'd have Canham ahead of Hanigan as a lock, but I'd also have Hanigan ahead of Swinton at 6. Swinton outside the 23 unless it's 6-2, in which case Walton probably drops out. Obviously changes a bit if any of the Wallabies squad or rehab group drop in.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Strictly speaking it proves that they believe he's eligible, not necessarily that World Rugby agrees, but yes it does look pretty likely he is.

Squad for Tonga game: https://www.rugby.com.au/news/foley-set-for-final-world-cup-audition-as-stacked-australia-a-confirmed-for-tonga-clash-202374 Is Swain injured or has he dropped below guys like Neville, Canham and Salakai-Loto in the pecking order?

    Wallabies 2023

Was he really that much closer to the wallabies in his first season back compared to his last before he left? For mine he didn't kick on until a season or two after his return. I'm sure time away helped him improve in the long run, but I don't think he was coming back a significantly improved...

    Wallabies 2023

Did he improve overseas though? Or did he kick on a few seasons after returning?

    Proposed Nations Championship

Yeah, reads very specifically like the current big 10 will own it, and anyone else can count themselves lucky to be invited

    Queensland Reds 2024

Looks like Jamie Joseph might be available next year: It's probably too late in the piece if he's not already under consideration, but I'd be pretty happy if he was coaching the Reds next year.

    Women's Rugby

Probably couldn't have done both of those given Ballymore was only opened yesterday. I do agree it should've been the opening game there though. Possibly the schedule was too tight and it's not setup for broadcast yet though.

We're a skillful side, but we could be playing smarter for the conditions

Do you know if Chase is any relation of either Kye/BJ or Corey Oates at the Broncos?
