It's about time Eddie recognized the work Harry Wilson has put in this year

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

It is very much 3rd or 4th hand rumour at this stage so I wouldn't rule him out just yet, but if he is indeed on the plane you have to assume he won;t be playing for Brothers this weekend. I had hoped we might have seen QPR teams by now to give us a bit more of a hint at that wallabies squad though.

Given our injury history the last few years I don't think head need any bullshit injuries to change up the squad, they'll happen whether he wants them to or not.

    Rugby World Cup 2023

All the players have been told if they're in or out and the squad (plus I think 5 extras) have headed to Darwin. There's not really anyway to keep it under wraps at this stage.

    Wallabies 2023

Given the players have all been told who is in and out it's not surprising that leaks are coming thick and fast. I feel like those exclusions in particular are very trustworthy, the potential inclusion seem to be a bit more fluid and for the guys outside of the squad could just as easily be guys...

I'm enjoying it, but my productivity at work isn't exactly stellar...

If you then swapped Uruguay for Samoa it'd all be darker shades too

Hearing O'Connor is on the plane to Darwin. Not clear if it is as part of the squad or as one of the 5ish extras.

We're definitely without them, but I wouldn't call the omission of Ala'alatoa and Ikitau a turfing out, they're both injured and would almost certainly be there otherwise.

Gonna need to get those away strips out in pool A:

No, he's already older than James O'Connor was on debut (18 years, 4 months, 3 days). If Jorgensen plays against France in the warm up he'll be 18 years, 11 months, 26 days on debut.

I can definitely see why Isaac Fines-Leilewasa has come into the frame - if Tate is the starting halfback than Isaac is the alternative most able to bring the same style in the event of an injury. At this point though he may as well go all in on youth and drop White instead of Lonergan.

    Quade Who-per?

    Wallabies 2023

His attack is back to a pretty good standard but I remain pretty worried about where his defence is at. He got burnt a couple of times looking to set himself early for a tackle and failing to adjust. I get the feeling he doesn't really trust his knee yet and gets in his head in those moments...

    Wallabies 2023

Not too surprising given he underperformed and then dropped right out of the 23, but I thought he might have skated through with Leota's lack of impact off the bench. Definitely fits into the narrative of favouring youth if the decision was between those two, I don't hate it.

Ikitau out, not going to be fit in time:

    Wallabies 2023

According to this article Blake Schoupp is seen as hooker cover: This could be enough flexibility to go with only 2 hookers for the group stage, with Schoupp covering for emergencies. That said, both Porecki and Uelese don't have a great injury history so Jones may still want 3 there as well...

    Wallabies 2023

Slipper being forced to start. Hooper's not there now and he's not forced to start, I don't see why that would change going forward.

    Why would he be?

    Queensland Reds 2024

Also Hodgman and Blake played a bit of loosehead this year, assuming he is re-signed.
