    Newcastle Hunter Rugby Union

Awesome training session at Newcastle Uni tonight - we had a visit from Todd Louden! He took us for a thorough session & it was interesting to learn from him. I liked how Louden stated in defense that we should 'violate the opposition', lol. We did do an attacking drill at the beginning but...

    Waratahs 2013

"Kind of see" where you're coming from cjf? More like TESTIFY! I agree 100%. There is an obsession with size everywhere. Even at rep Rugby for women I've heard flankers being told to get over 80kg or they won't be considered big enough (which is heavy for the average female). This is despite...

    Waratahs 2013

Definitely sad that the Wildfires didn't stay up. I know from people more involved back then that the local clubs did not want to release their best players for it as they were more concerned about winning the local competition. As a result the Wildfires did not have the local players involved...

Force v. Brumbies: Super Rugby Wk 16

Yep Brums to hold on from here. They should be absolutely pissed off after this game, a win yes but really scrappy. The Force have done well to bring some respectability to the scoreline but their horrid start has made it a bridge too far.

Force v. Brumbies: Super Rugby Wk 16

Wonderful try from a maul by the Force. Love a maul try. Great stuff Lynn. Brumbies may hang on from here but they need to wake up.

Force v. Brumbies: Super Rugby Wk 16

That was some pretty good play by the Force but Sharpie a bit isolated & Hooper all over it, good work Hooper. But Brumbies can't find touch. Saved by Force kicking it back. Then great work Pocock. Some sloppy stuff from the Brumbies on the return.

Force v. Brumbies: Super Rugby Wk 16

Feels that way. You've done well to stick to it till this point Ash. My summary for the first half is simple - it is one way traffic for the Brumbies. Force terrible.

    Crusaders vs Hurricanes

Well deserved win by the Canes - congrats to them. I saw most of the game at the pub after club rugby. Taylors missed penalties really hurt us but I'd pay more credit to the Canes. To me they looked very good on the attack & did some very cleaver territorial kicks for touch which kept us pegged...

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Looking at that artists impression it is no wonder he did a hammy. Jokes aside I'm a fan of JOC (James O'Connor). We need players of all kinds of characters. We need some cocky upstarts as much as we need down-to-earth knock about players - as long as the team is cohesive. I like that we have a player with his...

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Heard the commentators say there was no injury.

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

And that's FT. Would have been interesting if the Rebels had of got their act together earlier in the game. Reds got what they came for though & they'll be happy with that. Reds 32-17. Kudos Stirling on the career. Well played Huxley & Campbell also.

    Nice run Huxley.

Harris misses the conversion. 32-17 Reds. 74min.

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Frisby over in the corner. TMO. & thats the 4th try & bonus point for the Reds.

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Also forgot to mention Vuna had a hand in that too keeping it alive. Conversion is good. Reds 27-17, 68th min. I think the Reds will hold on but question is can they get the bonus point try. Re. Samo: I'd like to know that myself. The loss of Diggers is a bit telling too for mine. Not that...

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Lucas kicks out on the full. Great try Rebels! Mitchell over. Great run earlier from flanker Perritt.

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Hamstring strain for JOC (James O'Connor). Right to take him off given Hamy's can be bad ones to get over. Reds make a mistake kicking out on the full. Beale involved in the action again. Simmo does the intercept!

Determination from Inman? Good work whoever that Rebel was who dived on the ball.
