Disagree LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) plays a role, he does the same shit Hanigan was required to do (tackle, take lineout catches, run a bit & hit a lot of rucks), just that little bit better

    Wallabies 2020

Yep, he was average, sometimes a unit will take those chances, make an impact and others don't. I see Jones as a solid pro clubman (in no way meant as an insult) not a test player Dempsey does make that impact so he gets a chance

    Wallabies 2020

They have both had their chances and have been found wanting. They both need to be working on themselves to get another chance

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

My take on this game? The Poms played the best, most dominant, most complete game of rugby against seriously top class opposition I have seen in years It will be interesting if they can get to the same level two weeks in a row

He was more effective this season, he will never be the real dominant ball runner - he was much improved in contact and he is our best backrow lineout option. Like Ben Mowen I see him growing into an absolute beast in defensive lineouts @2, he gets up fast

We get to disagree Kerevi's lack of passing was never going to be solved at Wob level, it should have been sorted out as an 18yro. If we had depth and competition for places, we would not be selecting players who can't pass or kick or scrummage or tackle

    World Player of the Year?

Farrell or Itoje then daylight if there is any justice with Itoje winning primarily because he is the forward out of the two

    Wallabies 2020

Yep, and every bit of "direction" is generally just a different human telling them the same thing as their RS coach, their club coach etc etc

    Wallabies 2020

We can't go hunting for what doesn't exist, "we" (well the selection panel) justs picks the best team from who is available and we work it out And I am sick and tired of hearing that the Wobs are developing players, that is the Super Rugby coaches job. The Wobs coaches can ad a tiny bit of polish at best

Gordon has a very effective kicking game from the base as well, if the RWC is anything to go on, it will be a core skill going forward for all 9s as teams box kick deathmatch Every 9 should be spending the off season drilling this crap 8 hours a day

The DOR type position is growing in places like pro soccer in europe, they create the culture and the structures and the manager in their model runs the team to comply with that agreed culture & style The idea is to get away from the clean slate approach that loses all the current IP we see...

Interesting (always great) podcast from the UK The general subject isn't going away, the starting point of this one was a religiously conservative area challenging what was taught to their kids in their local public school. To suppress protests near the school, the UK government\judiciary...

It is always both, the challenge for Aus currently is that very few (if any) players that would make a world 15 or second 15 or even the Eng, Bok or Ab starting sides Then you have the best 10 we have out of form and the other options not really grasping the opportunity You then ad to that a...
