England v All Blacks, Twickers, 17 November 2013

If they aren't playing Corbisiero, they have to use techniques other than being the best LHP in the world.

btw, England on top right now. Cruden needs to kick start the momentum.

Carter limping off - I hope he hasn't become injury prone. Bad way to celebrate your 100th cap.

    Or Cronje?

Fullback or Winger is his strong suit, Coleman is our only real Lealiifano-style 12 and we don't really have a Mogg-style fullback. Team for the first game: Sio, Moore, Alexander, Fardy, Carter, Mowen (c), Pocock, Butler, White (vc), To'omua, Tomane, Coleman, Kuridrani, Speight, Cronje (GK)...

I think To'omua-Coleman is more likely.

I for one think every prop needs a good shouting at until we dominate scrums in a match.

Larkham says he knows what he wants from a 10 and what he wants from a 12 and for him that is To'omua at 10, Lealiifano at 12. I for one won't be questioning Larkham knowing what he needs from a back.

Best is their hooker? If only Kimlin was here.........

By the way, does anyone else see in Ruan Smith a TH Scott Sio waiting to happen?

    Brumbies 2014

I'll finish the trend and name a whole team :P Sio, Moore, Alexander, Fardy, Carter, Mowen (c), Pocock, Butler, White (vc), To'omua, Tomane, Lealiifano (GK), Kuridrani, Speight, Mogg Siliva, R. Smith, Murphy, Whetton, Smiler, Hoffman, Coleman, Rathbone

Drops Alexander but not Slipper? That confuses me, we have had problems on both sides of the scrum. This was really a game for Gill to tear up and I'm disappointed we aren't seeing that.

You don't see every great player jumping ship anywhere else in the world of Rugby for extra $, why do we expect it here? It's surely better to let the team decide how much it is willing to pay rather than expecting good players to go in droves to one team for an extra 50k a year on the bench...

If you look back over the comments I've said it was for a specific game plan, not the team I would pick for a different plan. I like the Lilo at 10 idea for the expansive style, but right now Cooper has that spot locked in.

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

If it's not he'll be shocked.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

Yeah, I'm just being pedantic though. Although this is the team that beat Ireland and France in the Six Nations this year, nothing to scoff at. They didn't play well though.

I think it's important to note that for all we discuss and disagree, we're watching to enjoy. Wallabies put 50 past a tier one team and didn't look like losing. Best win on the EOYT since 2010 vs France. But it's also important to acknowledge that we could have done better, there were problems...

I think if we are picking Cooper you can't drop To'omua. Plus, if Cooper has a good night his goalkicking is better than Lealiifano. If Gill isn't selected at 7, you see the Irish secure their ball 99/100 times and give away next to no penalties and it doesn't matter if we pick the backline I...

Fair enough, and tbh I'd be happy to see the same team named so long as we execute better than we did against Italy. We won't score as many tries and we will leak more than we did against Italy if we make the same mistakes.
