    RWC Squads

^^^ DP, I think I have seen at least 2 of your wives in the notoriously competitive and brutal Sth Auckland UFC competitions. They look like they might turn professional at any moment.

The King, if Churchie does beat BGS, with your exceptional knowledge of these things, has Churchie ever before won two unshared GPS Premierships in a row?

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Has the rather extraordinary loss of NC to BSHS created a kind of commentary black hole, where the intense and solemn gravity of the situation for the blue and white has sucked all human energy into a dark vortex of pain and isolation such that no human verbiage can or will ever emerge from it...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

^^^ Agree with Kepu HJ.......just excellent composure, angle and 'capturing the moment' perfectly. I especially liked the sequence that resulted in Papa's (Churchie 11) try, every micro-step captured from great angles. The ancient joy for any rugby player of getting the pill over the chalk.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Btw, huge crowd at Churchie today, stakes so high for two great rugby schools. Terrific atmosphere all round in a very hard fought, close game. Large number of Churchie old boys in a big group initiated war cries along with the boys. Nice. Churchie showed their generally excellent 2H composure...

Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

As you may know, the Wallabies will be based at the famous University of Notre Dame in Indiana during most of their time in the USA pre heading to England for the RWC. Notre Dame is the home of the almost-as-famous moniker the Fighting Irish as describes all their sporting teams including of...

    Reds 2016

Indeed. And we like Stiles and Lane is no wimp. These two if paired under RG may well be able to, and want to, and perhaps importantly need to, form an 'assertive alliance' and end up running most of the team's work themselves with RG in 'high level oversight mode'.

    Reds 2016

I checked last year's QRU media releases - Perese definitely has a signed-up spot in the Reds Elite Development Squad (which is to be coached or managed by Jason Glimore). How solid, remunerative and enduring are the contracts relating to these EDS positions, I don't know. Just a btw re Perese...

Ian Payten www.news.com.au today: The 'major new structures for delivering high performance' at the QRU are perhaps not getting off to the best of starts?

    Reds 2016

Absolutely (and as was said about QC (Quade Cooper) at the time just after he left Churchie). Perese was phenomenal last year and a key factor behind Churchie's GPS Premiership, going undefeated. (For those interested, Perese's 2014 Churchie highlights reel: ) The great thing is that unlike some of...

NRC Rnd 2: Stars v QLD Country

As the NRC is in major part meant to be a 'player development platform' for later S18 depth and skills advancement, to me it's highly legit to assess NRC performances in the context of what we see here as very relevant to the respective Super teams next year....or for later years.

NRC Rnd 2: Stars v QLD Country

What is objectively good news for Reds is Greene's skills and form, showing the basics of good, fast-thinking 10, with a good attack coach, he'll progress

NRC Rnd 2: Stars v QLD Country

If you think that's at anything vaguely close to Super standard as was intended for him as a back up 10, you're surely smitten by red rose glasses....those 'few handling errors' were very poor, and this is NRC.

NRC Rnd 2: Stars v QLD Country

I'll go out on a limb q51 and pick him as a Wallaby c. 2018, he's that good at 18

NRC Rnd 2: Stars v QLD Country

Duncan P at 12 for QC (Quade Cooper) was RG's choice as Cooper's understudy this year....yeah, right

    Greene impresses overall

Side note: all three scorers for QC (Quade Cooper) featured in QLD GPS rugby Premierships 1st XVs for their respective schools in their last year at school. Greene - BGS - 2012 Tuttle - Nudgee College - 2013 Perese - Churchie - 2014
