    Club Players with potential

Bruce, if you had to pick between Carter and McDuling for a S15 gig, who would you prefer?

    Western Force 2011

That's because he is 33. Not many backs are still at their peak at 33.

Roods was sent off for a head butt.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

The ARU doesn't have the money to look after 16 year olds. The elite schools have much more money than the ARU anyway and could potential out-bid the ARU if it came down to it.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2010

Now that the season is over, where will the star Yr 12 boys be playing next year? Union or the dark side? If union, grade or colts? And of course, which club?

    Waratahs 2011

I agree with Bruce - Carter has been the dominant centre in the Shute Shield for the past 5 years. He has dominated with his go forward and line breaks, his defence and his kick chase work. If you don't agree, rugbyfan, then let's here a name or 2 that have been better. Clint Eadie and Tom...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2010

I attended that game and Scots lead early because their forwards were better than Newington's for the first 25 minutes. When the Scots hooker went off, the game changed. Atkinson was very quiet for mine that day and missed a tackle or 2.

    Waratahs 2011

A different coach - Hickey had worked with him at Eastwood. Plus I think S14 teams will generally go for a player that has experience (eg Holmes, Stannard) over the player that doesn't (ie McKibbin, Sievert) -even more so if the experienced player is still young like Holmes.

    Waratahs 2011

Forum members are often critical of the lacking of coaching or skill improvement at the elite level of our game. When should the player take responsibility for this? Could it be that Josh Holmes is uncoachable ie he is not prepared to listen? Is that why he gets 1 term contracts and has to...

Scots won in 1993. Sydney High came 2nd that year and were unlucky not to win the premiership.

    Waratahs 2011

What do you mean - he was never a 9? He has signed 3 professional contracts - Tahs, ACT, then Tahs again - as a 9. He played a handful of games at 12 last year as he left Eastwood mid-season to play with his brother at the Rats. As a result, he made way for Sheehan. This year, Sheehan has...

    Waratahs 2011

I think it would be the beginning of the end for Josh Holmes if he was picked at 12. He is a 9 and needs to prove himself there. He was not able to lock down a spot at the Brumbies over Phibbs, who is far from top quality. He will continue to play 2nd fiddle to Burgess while Burgess stays in...

    Sydney Colts 2010

I watched Gordon v Manly yesterday. Manly led Gordon 19-3 after 15 minutes with Peter Gilmore proving unstoppable and BJ Hartmann looking very dangerous. However Gilmore got hurt after about 20 (hamstring, I think) and this proved to be a turning point. Gordon's forwards then got on top with...

Gits and Drew getting ready to face the Boks...by playing 3rd div subbies.

Spot on re Mitchell. His club is Balmain and he is on loan to Randwick. Giteau probably hasn't played club rugby anywhere in some time. In fact, he was going to play for Easts in Sydney if the schedule allowed it but unfortunately with the wet weather around June, it did not happen.

    wallabies definitly in starting side?

Because Ionae makes so many line breaks and busts many tackles. We have struggled to score tries since his injury. Horwill is a must for mine as well. If Dan Vickerman returned, would he be a certainty as well?

    Shute Shield 2010

Sam Harris is not part of the current player profiles, so I assume that he has been let go.

    Waratahs 2011

I would take Dellit but I am surprised D'Arcy is not in the mix. Ben Batger has had a pretty good season too.

Gits and Drew getting ready to face the Boks...by playing 3rd div subbies.

I believe that a Balmain rugby sponsor is one of the third party sponsors that brought Mitchell to the Waratahs, so I understand that there is a reasonable amount of coin for Mitchell to play this one off at Balmain.

    Shute Shield 2010

Won't JOC (James O'Connor) need to play in the centres next year given the loss of Tatupu and Cross?

    Shute Shield 2010

I think the Rebels roster is full - perhaps your Force could do with him.
