Agree, no pain no gain. Doing more of the same as the last few years would be madness.

France, The Power and Money but still no Glory

It's a business first, sport comes second. What would you be doing if appointed CEO of one of these large powerful clubs? It's a global market for rugby players, just like it is for many businesses looking for the best employees. Just interested - what would 'having the national interests at...

Having this protruding belly button hurts so much it's funny.

Thanks for the offer Lee. - Does he vary his approach or style of game whether he starts a game or comes off the bench? - In the event that Robbie doesn't play Pocock and Hooper together >Which would he prefer - playing some minutes of most test matches OR playing most minutes of some test matches?

Should Wallabies have pre-Lions training camp or Play S15 games

You guys are starting to sound like the 3 guys on the boat in Jaws, swapping injury stories while on the juice.

I get a strong sense he marches to a different beat.

Removal of the Scrum Engage Hit is coming

Whatever happened to channel 1 ball? It was great ball to launch a 1st phase attack from and required very cohesive scrummaging from the whole pack.

Yes, Cheika's big on players in motion and players working hard for each other off the ball. The benchmarks are the All Blacks and Melbourne Storm in these areas. The stragglers are the the Wallabies predictable pick and driving and one out running and rugby league teams running from dummy half...

    Shute Shield 2013

Don't get too frustrated comparing us to overseas No.8. Many Pro D2 teams in France are located in towns where there isn't a lot of competition from other winter sports (football/handball). The actual towns ie the local council often own or part own the team. The Pro D2 teams also have a...

The IRB have taken the concept of "set piece" too far. Also is it just me or are a number of the people watching 'on the sauce'?

    Wallabies squad named

Agree 100% SA. This is a similar to the point I'm making re Slipper. I don't see him emerging as a THP at International level BUT, the Reds keep picking him there, he wants to play LHP, and the current Wallaby coach doesn't seem to rate him as a THP option. How will he improve his LHP scrumming...

    Waratahs 2013

Every player has 3 options when they get attacking ball - run, pass or kick it. When a 5/8 doesn't run it you've lost 1/3 of your attacking options. Opposition back rowers run very different defensive angles at the inside backs when they are confident (and almost sure) that the 5/8 isn't likely...

    Wallabies squad named

I like Slipper and would have him starting ahead of BR as LHP for the Wallabies. He is our best 'rugby playing' prop. If the extra prop is added under the new rules, then I don't think Slipper will beat Kepu, Alexander, Palmer or Ryan for the 2 THP spots. I just feel Deans won't play him THP...

    Wallabies squad named

He's being more frequently played at LHP by the Wallabies, it's QLD who are playing him out of position. Deans has consistently preferred Alexander and Kepu as THP's to Slipper. Meanwhile here's his profile on the Wallabies website...

Just checking in - anyone out there missing Coach Foley?

Slipper's a good LHP, and that's where he should be playing.

I just don't see Barnes as a willing or natural runner of the ball. If Foley can step up and play at 10 with composure and some structure it will be hard to see Barnes playing anywhere but full back.

Gee we're skinny in depth at hooker and halfback.
