Good team. I wonder if Cheika will go for a 6-2 bench? Or maybe a 7-1 bench?

    Ireland v Australia

If the Wallabies can beat England next week I'd put this tour down as a big success (having beaten the two teams that will be in our pool next year). Realistically I think we should expect to win one of our two remaining games and we should be the Springboks at Suncorp next year. This...

    4. don't forget everyone's favourite lion tamer - JOC (James O'Connor)

    Ireland v Australia

That's almost the same side I wanted to see, the only difference being I chose Cooper to start. But I cant complain too much with Foley at 10. Would be great to see To'omua, Speight and Jones injected into the team.

    Ireland v Australia

I read somewhere comments from Cooper that he was finding it tough work adapting the Cheika's style of play, which is unlike what he has played in the past. From first glance it doesn't look that different. I wonder if this is making Cheika hesitant to start Cooper.

The Most Valuable Player in Australian Rugby ?

For the RWC next year, the player that we need more than any other, and hence the most valuable, is Kepu. He's our only quality test THP. Without him we are boned. I'd say Slipper is the next most valuable given that we have a few decent LHP available as backups (although nowhere near as good)...

    Ireland v Australia

I'd play Cooper at 15 before I'd play him at 12.

    Ireland v Australia

I'd be surprised if OConnor wasn't in the starting 23 come the RWC

    Ireland v Australia

I think its time to roll the dice and also bring in some fresh legs. Our players looked a bit tired against the French. It's been a long season, particularly with the whole Beale which was mentally draining. Our players desperately need an off season. I'd go with this side on the weekend. 1...

    Ireland v Australia

Congrats. For the record I'm a big fan of the Irish side and would love to see them win the world cup. I just think they are a better opponent for us than the English are (who we traditionally struggle against).

    Ireland v Australia

You're right. we dont need front foot ball.

    Ireland v Australia

Godwin will get his chance. It's good that he's in the squad, because he's a long term prospect and I'm sure he'd do a good job if he was given the 12 jersey tomorrow. But there are two quality 12s (To'omua and lilo) in font of him atm.

    Ireland v Australia

Whether they are our toughest opponent I'm not so sure. They are certainly in great form, but I tend to think their ceiling is not as high as England's or France's ceiling. I think our toughest game will be against England because they'll be able to pressure us in the set piece and with the...

    Ireland v Australia

I was referring to their scrum work, which is where Skelton seems to struggle a bit. My point is, I wouldn't get rid of Skelton, he gives us front foot ball.

    Ireland v Australia

Definitely wouldn't drop Skelton for this one. He's far from perfect, but he still played an important role in allowing us to get over the gainline in the second half of both the Wales game and the French game. If anything this is the game that best suits him because the Irish scrum is...

    Ireland v Australia

To'omua should replace Lilo at inside centre. McMahon should also be replaced at 6. This seems like a good opportunity to see what Jones has. The other option would be to move Simmons to 6 and bring Carter back in.

    France v Australia

Haven't written any comments yet about the game but here goes. - Pretty entertaining test match, with both teams fronting up physically. Most neutral supporter were saying this was by far the best test match of the weekend and I'd have to agree. -The Wallabies certainly didn't embarrass...

    EOYT 2014

TWAS, that's fair enough. Personally I think its a bit much to stop supporting our national team because a few of our players are shit blokes. If everyone took that approach the NSW Rugby League team would have no fans. :D I think Cheika has made the wrong decision but he'll ultimately be...
