    Force v Blues - 2011R04

Plenty of good backs at the Reds and a couple of decent ones at the Brumbies not getting some game time at the moment.

    Andy Friend Sacked!

I think he may have even been a Davis Cup squad member for tennis?

    Brumby Runner Trials

I understand the final score was 32-12, which surprised me a bit. Thought it would be a lot closer given the results of the Pacific Cup over the last couple of weeks. Good to see Tapuai went well, and I was interested to see how Butler went. I liked what little I saw of him at Ballymore last week.

    Chiefs vs. Rebels - 2011R03

It was only a matter of time before the Chiefs started to score tries. The effort by Masaga was a beauty! The problem that I see for the Rebels is that the just don't get enough pill during games and spend too much of it tackling. That's got to be exhausting. How good has Gerard been these...

    Force vs Sharks - 2011R03

Brave effort by the Force but they were always pushing shit uphill after the Pocock injury and the red card. They stayed in the game for a lot longer than I thought they would. Anyone had any reports on Ndugane? Hope he's ok.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Well it came down to the Cooper v. Giteau battle but who would have thought it was going to be a battle of the boot. If Giteau's kicking had have been half decent the Brumbies would have won the game. Happy to take the win as a Reds fan but to concede four tries to a team that has found...

Forgot that he played some games already. Glad to see him in the team, I like the way he plays.

    Waratahs vs Crusaders - 2011R03

Now Tah's fans know exactly how Red's supporters felt last week. You go into a match full of expectation only to see that your team hasn't turned up and the opposition is on fire. Can't help but think that the physicality of last weekends game might have had something to do with it. Also, whilst...

Reds A side for the curtain raiser v the Brumby Runners: The QAS Reds 2nd XV is (from fullback): Aidan Toua, Kimami Sitauti, Ben Tapuai (c), Simon Morahan, Dom Shipperley, Matt Brandon, Ian Prior, Jarrad Butler, Lei Tomiki, Ben Coridas, Tim Buchanan, David McDuling, Guy Shepherdson (vc)...

    Andy Friend Sacked!

The League coaching landscape is an interesting one. Superstars of the game have not really been successful (think Fulton, Lewis, Pearce etc...) whereas solid to good players like Bennett and Sheehan have excelled.

    Waratahs vs Crusaders - 2011R03

The Crusaders forwards are made of pretty stern stuff and will absorb a Tah's onslaught better than the Reds did last week. Really hard result to pick this one.

    Chiefs vs. Rebels - 2011R03

Can't believe that the Chiefs are 0 from 2 with that backline. I'm predicting they'll score a few points this weekend.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

That backrow of the Brumbies won't be as quick as the Force but will still have some speed about it. Robinson is going to have his work cut out for him but like many I'm glad to see a genuine onballer in the starting lineup. And there's one on the bench as well! We'll need them both to be in...

    Waratahs 2011

Justin Turner? I know he's injured but looked pretty good before that. Would also like to see more of McKibbin.

    Andy Friend Sacked!

How many of these sackings have the current CEO and board presided over, and are they not the ones who make the appointments in the first place? If Fagan and his cohorts have had tenure for most of this time then shouldn't questions be asked of them? Very unhealthy what is going on.

    Reds 2011

Gill was again very quick to the breakdown last night and could be worth a punt off the bench. Reckon he would at least hold his own against Salvi or Fainga'a, his likely opponents in Canberra. Having said that, Robinson was the best Red's forward when he got on the field last week. Big question...
