Can only be of benefit to the Tahs long term if Hooper is rested lots, giving some of the younger guys some game time. Cant imagine Hoops will be around that much longer after whats happened in recent history..

Im all for a bye, gives an opportunity for people (me) to get away for a weekend during winter without having to leave the team hanging.

I agree, it is shaping up to be a great year to be a Tah's supporter. "Aiming" for top 4, just sounds a bit lame to me. I understand the realism, maybe he "believes" we will be in the top 4, and "aiming" for the win. Semantics.

    Not aiming to win?

Quinns and Epping (big jump) to Div 2? @Pfitzy got enough for DIV 3?

All valid points. Might be the risk he has to take if no one steps up. Ofcourse would rather see FF (Folau Fainga'a) or Latu pull their heads in and play some disciplined rugby. Although ive said it before, no one sings the anthem like BPA.

I dont think Skelton is a shoe in. I would love to see him there, however we seem to have such depth in the lock position. Our biggest issue is with #2. If no one local steps up, and we can find an eligible #2 that can get over the advantage line and throw they should be the picked before Skelton.

The Oaks the furthest west they would go?

Surely we have to have the strongest Aus team on paper? Pending injuries, should do well!

I dont mind this option, not sure how our speed to the ruck will be. Ned at 6, swain on the bench, frost in the row?

Yep, big fan of that side!

Yep and give Lonergan a crack starting at 2. He is bound to come on when FF (Folau Fainga'a) gets carded anyway.

Got to agree with you, he is looking good around the breakdown. Another super rugby season under his belt will be good.

    At this point, why not..

Great to see Foley step up in defence when we were down to 13, didnt set the world on fire at any other time unsuprisingly Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) certainly staking a claim to his spot! Have been a big Porecki fan, but he really does struggle to be dominant in any contact, hence having to go fo the neck...

If we can't get BPA to play, can we at least get him to sing the national anthem?
  17. HogansHeros

    Waratahs 2023

Agreed, big HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) fan. Seems almost unstoppable with a pick and go near the line.

Yeah the bloke has played 9 tests. Not really done anything that wrong, and seems to be the best we got... everyone wants consistency/cohesion and in the same breath, heads to roll.

    Waratahs 2023

That means people would have to show up at the matches

That was a hard watch. Would have liked to have seen Donaldson have more than 5 minutes of footy. *insert broken record about discipline* Hey, at least McRight and Samu had a crack at competing at the breakdown. Last week I don't think anyone even tried to get over the ball? See what happens...
