Super Rugby Rd 10 Waratahs v Rebels

Once again, Tahs really know how to lose a game. Really poor

Regarding TK's tackle that earned the yellow. To me it was virtually identical to the one that cost Perese a red in round one. We just need to see consistency in these things.

SRAU RD 10 - Force v Reds Friday 23rd April HBF Park

Yes, I think TK could get some time off after that, which is a pity because it was one of the best games of Super rugby he's played for a couple of years. A couple of comments on individuals in that Force team Olowofela really has some wheels. He's very good and getting better each game, we...

Injured it during that last line-out throw ;)

    Wallabies 2021

In summary, I think Muirhead would be okay as a test winger if we didn't have better options, however we do!

    Refereeing decisions

Kiap, Sorry, that probably looked like a 'sore loser' rant. Generally I thought the refereeing was fine, the 'use it' issue wasn't in reference to this game, rather one that exists throughout the competition. As I said, probably the worst culprit is Nick White, but it was brought to my attention...

    Refereeing decisions

A couple of reffing issues I wanted to raise after the Tahs match. Firstly, I thought Gamble was dead unlucky to be penalised for not releasing, a penalty which resulted in the Force's last try. In the replay he clearly released, got to his feet, then got over the ball. I don't want to be too...

Super Rugby AU Rd 9 Force v Waratahs

Swinton was lucky not to get red, for all his qualities the guy doesn't have a brain to bless himself. When Dempsey returns, I can't see how he can hold his place, surely Tizzano and Harris retain their spots. Tahs have improved immeasurable, but have developed the ability to snatch defeat from...

    Waratahs 2022

For mine, regardless of whether Edmed or Donaldson is the best selection, Batger is right out of line. His job is to coach the Woodies, Whitaker and Gilmore coach the Tahs, it's their job, and they are very much under scrutiny and their jobs surely at risk depending on the last few matches of...

    Waratahs 2022

FG, I think Hooper goes closest to embodying that of those around the Tahs right now.

Super Rugby AU Rd 9 Force v Waratahs

My understanding was that Donaldson had always been regarded as the back-up 10 for the Tahs but has been injured. Tough on Edmed, but this is professional rugby, selectors are required to pick (in their opinion) the best team, not the kid who tries hardest.

    Wallabies 2021

Latu was given a life-line by Cheika, under very strict guidance, and driven very hard by MC fitness wise. It would appear without someone like Cheika guiding him, he can't do it himself. Pity, as he's a genuine talent, good scrummager, very strong over the ball at the breakdown, and ball...

    Waratahs 2021

Don't see your problem with Ramm OT. For mine he's been the most consistent of our back three, albeit without the opportunities he got in 2020. He would be clearly the quickest player in the Tahs, has a huge boot, makes his tackles and seems to go looking for work.

    Wallabies 2021

The big question over Wright/Petaia/Vunivalu or anyone else at 15 who isn't currently playing there is positional play. 15 Is somewhere where positional awareness, is crucial, not saying none of these fellows have it, but what is the top level at which they've played 15? Also decision making...

    SRAU RD 8 - Reds v Brumbies

Well that was a really enjoyable game. My few thoughts, in no particular order * Neville and Wright should be two of the first players to be selected for the Wallabies, they continue to impress week after week * JOC (James O'Connor) has to be the Wallaby 10, it shouldn't even be a subject for debate * Great...

Fuck, we've lost Harris to the Brumbies!!

Super Rugby RD 7 - Waratahs v Brumbies

Just a comment on Harrison v Lolesio after Friday night's game. IMO Harrison has a better running and kicking game, but Lolesio is well ahead on game management and decision making.

    Wallabies 2021

I don't necessarily agree with the comment about him trying to live up to his press. My information is that he has been super-aggressive going right back to his school years, and that stepping over the line has always been a problem. Personally I wouldn't have him in the wallaby mix at the...
