    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

You read my mind. Although I'm not so sure that Cooper/McCabe is that nicely balanced, because it seems to hinge completely on Cooper having brilliant attack. On the nights that Cooper is off his game the whole backline is fucked, at least with Barnes/JOC (James O'Connor) if one isn't bang on then it's not a...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Am I the only one who thinks the best combo would be Barnes 10, JOC (James O'Connor) 12 and not the other way around (although my ideal combo would be Lealiifano 10, JOC (James O'Connor) 12)???

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Fair play then to you and qwerty, I'm not a fan of mass changes either. All I'd like to see is JOC (James O'Connor) in for McCabe. Should make that clear, JOC (James O'Connor) in at 12.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Simmer down qwerty, all we want is a back line with players that can defend and attack well. It's about individual balance along the backline, rather than a balanced backline with one attacking freak who tackles like a marshmallow and a 12 and 13 that defend like beasts but cant put a winger in...

    Delve and the Quota

I'm not sure about his marquee status or citizenship possibilities but their is a fair chance he'll get picked by Queensland in State of Origin game 3.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Half agree, cooper is definitely a rubbish head on defender, JOC (James O'Connor) should not be compared to cooper when it comes to defense.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Just a thought guys. When was the last time you saw our backline absolutely carve up? I don't think our backline has outclassed anyone since the 2010 EOYT against france and guess what? Duel playmakers, Cooper and Barnes. I think it's great that we utilise "roving wingers" in Digby and JOC (James O'Connor) but...

Quade v Barnes... Australia's version of Carlos v Mehrtens?

Yes, but his other attacking skills make him a better prospect for 12 (only outside of a 10 with better defense than quade though). If Quade is at 10, JOC (James O'Connor) should be on the wing, but I'd have him at 12 outside of Barnes.

I know I'm a bit late on this one but: 9. Genia 10. Cooper 11. Ioane 12. McCabe 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 14. JOC (James O'Connor) 15. Beale Or, in the event that Cooper still doesn't want to grow some balls in defense: 9. Genia 10. Barnes 11. Digby 12. JOC (James O'Connor) 13. Horne 14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 15. Beale

Quade v Barnes... Australia's version of Carlos v Mehrtens?

JOC (James O'Connor) is more effective at getting over the gain line than any of our other 12 options IMO and has the distributing ability to take on the line and put people into gaps better than any of those listed.

Quade v Barnes... Australia's version of Carlos v Mehrtens?

This is exactly why he should be played at 12. It's his best position.

Channel 9 continues the tradition of absymal free to air rugby coverage...

Hey guys, I seriously haven't been around for ages and have been super busy but I just decided to see when the test was on tonight and copped a big kick to the balls from channel 9 again! That's it. I'm boycotting those fuckers and I'm letting them know that I'm removing their channels from my...
