    Wallabies 2021

I can't understand the hooker decision making. Ok, clearly a lack of standouts, but in the past 12 months all of BPA, Mafi, Lonergan, McInerney, FF (Folau Fainga'a), Uelese, Horton, Porecki and Kaitu'u have spent time in the squad. Add Latu (overseas) and you have 10 hookers, none of whom have excelled at...

    The Moana Pasifika Franchise

I'm really unconvinced by the Moana Pasifika model, unfortunately.

    Rebels 2022

to be fair, I think Reds tried to keep him - but we went with a bigger offer, clearer route to 1st XV, longer deal & a deal for his brother.

Bledisloe III at Perth, 5/09/21 - 4pm AEST

My personal power ranking of 10s: Noah, Reece, Harrison, To'omua, Paia'aua, Quade.

    I would not.

I have a lot of respect for Pup as a player and a leader, but is it also possible that he was 'shunted' because he was found not to be an international standard 10? He's certainly better at 12 than at flyhalf.

    Forum Upgrade

Great work all involved. My alerts are pushing me to a lot of threads last updated on August 9 - is that correct? If I click on Rugby Discussion besides the top half dozen, that appears to be the most recent time that they have been posted in which doesn't seem right?

    It's a different Sione Tuipulotu.

    Olympic 7's

I'm so gutted for the girls. Really and truly.

    Olympic 7's

We have looked really good for 5 halves. I'm not giving up on them yet. Their skills have been very impressive too, and defensively their first half against the US was great. Shannon Parry's try-saving tackle showed she's still got it, and some of the girls ranked 6-10 (Levi, Nathan, Ashby)...

    So who do we play?

    NZ Domestic Rugby 2021

Agreed, would love to see a bunch of young Aussie guys given this chance - both from a developmental standpoint, but also in terms of boosting earning capacity and therefore providing a more compelling argument to keep them here as opposed to Japan, Europe etc. Though I'm not sure if his QLD...

    Olympic 7's

I'm a big advocate for the Force and for five teams - have literally never said a bad word about them. My 'negativity' is just that I don't think Anstee is one of the best 12 players in the country at 7s
  14. RebelYell

    Olympic 7's

He didn't get selected this year with less opponents for a spot, don't see why he would get selected in a hypothetical scenario when all Aussie Super Rugby players are available
  15. RebelYell

    Olympic 7's

If we looked at it from just a Rugby perspective, and assumed all Aussie based players would be available, something like this for a 12 player squad wouldn't be bad: 1. Malouf 2. Holland 3. Longbottom 4. McDermott 5. Kerevi 6. Uru 7. Petaia 8. T.Wright 9. Daugunu 10. Samu 11. Banks 12. Hooper

Interesting that Leota gets a top up and not Wright

Wallabies v France, Brisbane, Sat 17th July, 8pm

I attended a Rugby breakfast this morning that Stephen Moore and Ben Mowen spoke at. Interesting takeaway from Mowen was that the breakdown is officiating so differently in France and AU, at a Club level, in regards to touching the ground ahead of turniver attempt.
