Depends which clubs fans you ask. Obviously the intention is to try and address an uneven playing field. Clearly a few clubs have an ongoing financial & access to best players advantage season after season. The cap is an attempt to make the competition more competitive & less predictable...

Full time, Brothers 25 def Randwick 18. Scrappy game with lots of penalties throughout, many of which were for "high" tackles. Hopefully this is not an indicator of what to expect in the upcoming season.
