    Rugby World Cup 2023

Yes, even the final last time was a late night pub start rather early morning. Ireland this week is a good time, the rest is horrible 5am starts.

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Weather forecast for France all weekend - 30 to 35 degrees. Might have some effect on a couple of big games with cramps etc.

    Western Force 2024

Come on now, I am a Rebels fan and I don't count that. I also don't count finishing 7th or 8th as making finals. Your just there for a extra game for TV, your not going to win the comp.

    Rugby World Cup 2023

They were going to use GAA stadiums, so Croke park is 88k, Cork, Tipperary, Killarney 38-45K, etc Would be an amazing place to tour with a RWC on, Imagine the pubs.

    Rugby World Cup 2023

While I wish Ireland had won the bid for this RWC, I am super impressed by the excitement in France. 12K attended Ireland's open training session on Saturday.

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Georgia, SdF Sunday 10th September 2am

Also thinking about Georgia, if they did manage to make the quarters in this group. It would go a long way for arguing they need to be included in the 6N when the Italians have never qualified. They have already shown they can match it with the 6N teams. Consider since the last world cup they...

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Georgia, SdF Sunday 10th September 2am

Portgual are making up the numbers in that group, last game for the Wallabies and I'd assume at that stage it will be either rest players or we need to put 100 on these guys to get out of the group.

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Printed out the schedule today to have at my desk and on the fridge at home. So every NZ game is a 9pm France kickoff, making all games a reasonable get up early and watch time for Kiwi fans, Aussie AEST times go 2am, 1:45am Mon, 5am Mon , 2:45am Mon. I know the French time zone suck for...

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Georgia, SdF Sunday 10th September 2am

It's hard to tell, but it didn't look like a full strength Georgian team when comparing to other squads used over the last 12 months. I think Georgia is a bigger danger for the Wallabies then Fiji, Wallabies will always play better when there pack is on par or better then their opposition. In...

    Refereeing decisions

My concern going into the RWC is players pretending to have head knocks to get others carded, if you get a head knock fair enough. But if its a head knock and a card or tmo is involved because the player is holding there head, they should have to go do a HIA. If it's worthy of being checked for...

RWC23 - Pool C - AUSTRALIA, Wal, Fiji, Georgia, Portugal

If it was in Madagascar you would struggle, if you have never looked up Madagascar rugby it's worth a look on you tube, national sport with good crowd sizes.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Think I would have preferred Hegarty over Strachan, but don't expect to see to much of him anyway.

    Rugby World Cup 2023

A good start would be more then 15 games a year. So Matt Giteau as a example, from 01-11 in Super Rugby he played 104 games. In France from 11-17 he played 121. Super rugby clearly is not long enough.

RWC23 - Pool C - AUSTRALIA, Wal, Fiji, Georgia, Portugal

That's the thing, Fiji bloody good but only managed a 8 point win over a team that played poor. If England manage to find any form they would beat a good Fiji by 20, same goes for Wallabies, Wales etc. Samoa beat the Wallabies in 2011, went on to finish the group stage in 3rd and the Wallabies...

RWC23 - Pool B - SA, IRE, SCO, TON, ROM

I've really enjoyed watching Scotland the last 12 months and hope they go through 2nd in the group with Ireland 1st. I am also happy with our draw, hopefully by the time we meet we have both qualified for the quarters.

RWC23 - Pool B - SA, IRE, SCO, TON, ROM

Sco v Sa is early, Ireland play Scotland and Sa last with a 2 week gap in between.

    Doping in Rugby

I feel like these won't be the only two we hear about this year. Jantjies is interesting, a drug to help you breathe better. Normally used by asthmatics so not to sure it would really have been a massive benefit and worth the risk.

RWC23 - Pool B - SA, IRE, SCO, TON, ROM

Yep, was reserve prop in top 23. Also covered hooker earlier in the year during the 6N to stop scrums going uncontested. His a big loss for Ireland, just having that experience coming off the bench and securing the scrum for the last 20 min.
