    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

I might be slow on the uptake or out of the loop, but I just don't get what you are trying to say: Workplace Relations debacle.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Close, Fairfield Pats. I'm sure Langmack (Canterbury) was another from the said school.

It is Patrician Bros, Blacktown that leads the league's arms race in the tyke (my) system, although Gregs were previously known for it.

I just listened to the Jones, Lambert interview. Short comment: Jones you evil little turd - you gimp.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Yes, it certainly does. Schools are importing to win comps regardless, the ARU is running around with a blindfold on, with no idea of how to stop the rot in all levels of the game.

Good to see the stance made by the other GPS schools, I hope it flows onto rugby.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

All three boys mentioned in the SMH have been contracted to their NRL clubs for at least 3 years, maybe 4. So, it is not like league got under the guard of the ARU. In other words, they were enrolled in their GPS schools with the full knowledge of the junior NRL contracts.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Then why deny that sporting scholarships exist? At least be honest (ie: DragonMan) about your old school and with yourself.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

I can name a few students at Kings who are on sporting scholarships, as well. It is not only Newington, although they have taken it to a new level. What pisses me off, is DragonMan's "head in the sand" attitude and the denial.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Pity, DragonMan will not answer a simple question; does Newington import students to play rugby? The generic response is: check the bursary and scholarship criteria etc, etc. As said, I'm a non-GPSer but even I can name 6 players who only attended Newington after being offered scholarships...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

I know it is a different code , but it aligns with sporting scholarships and its effect on the sport overall; the other big Rugby (League) importer - Patrician Brothers Blacktown played Farrer Agricultural High Tamworth in the GIO Schoolboys Cup (National Schools Knockout) last week. Pats won...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Wrong, I have provided an example of how it is happening in rugby league for the instant glorification of school ego and prestige.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

You will not answer a simple, clear question; as an old boy you should be ashamed of the school you attended. I'm a non-GPSer, catholic school background and I'm ashamed of Patrician Brothers Blacktown and the damage they are doing to the schoolboy game and in the long term the damage they are...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

No, my question was: Are you saying that Newington don't import by offering financial incentives to the players and/or their family? (dont worry about the Tonga Bursary students unless their families are actually Australian based)

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Hold on here, DragonMan Are you saying that Newington don't import by offering financial incentives to the players and/or their family? As I said before, Newington are a disgrace to schoolboy rugby union and Patrician Brothers Blacktown are a disgrace to schoolboys rugby league; they dont...

NSW CCC 2013 (U16 and Opens)

Hope this helps: U16s Cameron Scott St Patrick's College (Sutherland, Secondary School) Cameron Teisina Marist College Pagewood (Maroubra, Secondary School) Connor McCulloch Marcellin College (Randwick, Secondary School) Delahoya Manu Patrician Brothers' College (Blacktown, Secondary...

NSW CCC 2013 (U16 and Opens)

That Sir is an unnecessary dig at every player that represented the CCC U16’s last year, outside of the Illawarra boys; given you wanted all 22 to be such players. The players proudly represented their association – achieving 1 win, 1 loss and 1 draw against the GPS II side. As HJ said as the...

Google: NSWCCC Rugby Union trials 2013 - then follow to Rugby - amended program 20/05/13. If you don't find it let me know and I'll see if I can provide a link.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Bloody disgraceful. Newington is to rugby union as Blacktown Patrician Brothers is to rugby league; both import without giving a damn about the overall effect it has on the schoolboy game; in general.

NSW CCC 2013 (U16 and Opens)

Surprise to see a few omissions from the U18s team lists, notably Michael Morgan - MCC and, to a lesser extent Scott Hogan (only 17 this year) - MCS as both are dual code rep players. Maybe, they have decide to concentrate on league.
