    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

So... it would appear that renowned orators Quade and Sonny Bill are starting a podcast. Jokes aside, could be interesting to see what form it takes. Over-under on the number of bros uttered in the first ep?

Potter and Tizzano as starters are certainly interesting decisions

It was that angle and the one from behind, which didn't really show anything - a side on would've been the most telling, but obviously they can be hard to come by. Agreed - if nothing else, I did like that Doleman was very decisive and quick in making his judgment.

I do really struggle to see how this was viewed as only the bicep when Bevan's shoulder is clearly in-line with White's head and his upper arm appears to be basically vertical.

The leniency at rucks has always been justified by the smaller target available and 'head first' positioning over a ruck. In saying that, we've seen far more innocuous head contact at rucks than the one on White being shown a card over the last few years. Was viewed as 'bicep only' by Doleman...

3 weeks in this case. I wasn't referring to inconsistency in the suspension ruling itself, nor suggesting I disagree with it, more that there remains inconsistency (or at least a lack of clarity) in what constitutes foul play with head contact - specifically the other instances seen in the...

Yet again, the inconsistency is the biggest issue. I'm by no means envious of officiating or disciplinary teams that have to make these verdicts regarding mitigation, etc., but there has to be a better way.

Six weeks as the entry point down to three - goodness me. I'm sure this will result in calm and civil discussion.

Valid - it’s like cashing out with house money, investing it into a socially equitable future-focussed ETF, and achieving a 60% ROI over 7 years.

But it'll feel a hell of a lot better if we put that house money into The Queen of the Nile and hit the major

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

Yep - was responding to Rebel Man's hypothetical of $2m average. Even if you halve it to an average of $1m (which works out as about double the salary cap of the French teams), there's no escaping that it would be a very tough ask to recoup the costs required to get even a single season of the...

New "LIV Style" Global Rugby League

Let's say each team has a 35-player squad - $70m annual salary expenditure for each team; $560m across the eight teams. In salary alone. And then the cost of flying 8 squads and staff around the world for a - let's say each team gets a home weekend, plus a three-week finals series in Riyadh -...

Hitting page 1111 in the 11th year of this thread is kind of cute. So close to 101,000 minutes (100,800). Exactly 4200 days; 600 weeks.
