In these countries rugby is a dominant winter sport, and AFAIK the admin etc has been centralised for a long time. But the question is not, is this a good idea? Of course it is a good idea. The question is, how to achieve it in a country where rugby is the fourth most popular "football"? Ane...

As somebody who grew up loving my local rugby club, then playing for them, then supporting them in cash and in kind, I wonder what will take our place? Of course nothing and nobody is irreplaceable, with enough money it must be possible to engineer a new national competition. And I would be...

Eddie has given Vunivalu a chance, but he hasn't really grabbed a spot.

You're a better option than Foley.

Be fair. Surely all the good support staff are on contracts through the RWC?

I'm pretty happy about the Two Blues winning! We are the two remaining Westies now.

Go the Woodies. Ed Craig yet again showing why he is (or was) worth a go with the Tahs. He saw off Folau Fainga'a and Tom Horton and scored a couple of meat pies. (He actually scored three!) How sweet it is to win at Camperdown.

On the other hand, when I was playing a lot of players went straight from under 18s to grade. Some played under 21s first.

Gleeson is the fastest of our forwards apparently. Mind you, experience counts for a good #7.

My dear wife said "he'll never be a Wallaby". So that settles it.

    Shute Shield 2023

I honestly believed Norths would win. BTW Edmed made three egregious errors in the 10 minutes after lemons, when we were a man up. He missed an easy penalty goal. He threw a huge forward pass when we were hard on attack. And a fluffed a kick out of hand. We can do better, I am sure. Norths...

Woodies playing better than expected, Norths under par. 22-17 to the good guys, and the Shorepeople start the second half with a player on the naughty chair.

Goodall looks a better footballer for his MLR ex;perience. He is playing 12, and looks okay at the role. Seems to have dropped a bit of beef, which doesn't hurt.

The big Super League war led to the formation of the NRL. NSW dominated the code for many year, no doubt mainly because poker machines were legal in NSW. Most good QLD players were forced to play in the NSW comp if they wanted to earn the very big bucks.

What's the betting that Donaldson sneaks into the squad?

Eddie has lots of decisions to make, too many this close to the RWC.
