Wallabies v Portugal, RWC Pool C, Mon 2 Oct 2.45AM

This isn't the first time a coach has had me scratching my head at his selections

The only "logic" I can think of is at least the 10, 12 & 13 have played a bit together But that is struggling to find a reason

I don't see any reason why Gordon isn't given the 10 jersey and told to go for it, if we look like losing this one due to goal kicking the issues are much, much bigger than we ever contemplated

I don't think a Fiji match is where you would want to test out a bung shoulder

    Wallabies 2024

I think we would have just found different ways to lose, we aren't very good, Fiji and Wales are better teams at the moment

The revisionist history that Rennie was the answer is quite impressive We again appear to think changing the coach is the answer and that good coaches turn to shit magically when they become wallaby coaches, so change the coach and ....... A couple of other issues ...

Well, the dice have rolled, go Wobs!

I don't think Wales are very good either, so more like Wales by 7 (which will make the loss feel worse)

OK ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I can understand when the squad was picked going "all in" with Gordon, frankly the only other viable options just weren't playing good enough I can understand the premise of youth over experience when the "experience" hasn't been delivering What I don't understand is...

More concerned about the lack adaption by the loosies, happened against France, now Fiji It is always a smart plan to make the playmaker a speed bump (every time Andrew Johns played a Brian Smith coached side he would top the tackle count) But where was the defensive adaption?

I would suggest the same for Jones, but we don't have a full strength team, we have two of our best pigs injured We rarely have a fully fit side and the back ups aren't just up to it - yet and most of our elders have been all either injured or coming back from major injury (and still looking...

I think the only difference between Jones and Rennie is where we would lose, stay with the elders? - it wasn't going to be a recipe for success, we would have just lost differently

"Drops an extra $100 million" well yeah, my point is that if the product wasn't so shit, it may have been $200 million

a decent chase can turn a less than optimal kick into something useful as well

So this equity sale must be interesting sell at the moment

    Wallabies 2023

I would have preferred JOC (James O'Connor) in the squad, but that was over Foteki (I thought JOC (James O'Connor) was the form aus based 12 this season - but he wasn't and there we go) Quade and Foley would have ended up standing closer to 15 than the 9 as Tuisova went hunting for them

They would have if he was playing better, he wasn't

    Wallabies 2023

None of the other options showed enough to justify their selection, they are all meh in their own unique areas I can't believe any of the options left out would have done anything better Unless one of them have shown some magical powers in the last month to succeed off back foot ball A 10...
