Agree Cyclo, and perhaps a (say) $5000 fine for any intrusion not in an injury break?

    Western Force 2025

Misreading me there RY. Tahs will be better but a couple of years off being goood. Reds will be better but still battling to make the top four due inconsistency. Force will be better but their travel schedule will always work against them being a 'force'. Brumbies will go backwards, thanks RA...

    Western Force 2025

I have very low expectations for Super Rugby next year. The Tahs have a virtual new squad with all new coaching staff. Think it will take a year or two to bed in changes. The Brumbies have a weakened roster with Swain, Brown and Tua moving on and little in the way of replacements. The Force will...

    Wallabies 2024

And just the one pilfer if I remember correctly. Wouldn't be losing a lot in defence if a bigger body (Hooper, Gleeson) took the 7 spot and would be gaining impact around the ground and jumping options in the lineout. I think Carlo is really unnecessary in the test side. But in case Joe sees his...

Not impressed with Tom. He was pretty good a few years ago when at the Tahs but his time with the Force has been unimpressive imo.

Nic had a shocker and I think he has reached the point where he doesn't offer a lot to the test side, but any commentary on his box kicking must also acknowledge the failure of our chasers to even contest for the ball 9 times out of 10. It is so common that it looks to be under instruction to...

You have the inside info on this, TBH?

Would expect Feliuai to be brought in if available as he was in the original test squad.

    Wallabies 2024

More timely than some of his other squad/team announcements. Good to see.

We think the Wallabies have rolling maul defensive issues. A bit off subject, but Wests Lions have qualified for the JID Cup preliminary final with a 41 - 34 victory over the Gungahlin Eagles. Wests scored 6 rolling maul tries, five to hooker Pisu.

    Wallabies 2024

That's where I think you're wrong. The Wallabies only need one of Lolesio or Donaldson in the team between now and Lions. Lynagh is the next in line but we need to have another option being developed in case (as is probable) that whomever of NL or BD make the side now fails to rise to the level...

    Wallabies 2024

If the second test against South Africa shows us nothing more, then it was very clear that James Slipper and Nic White are nearing or at the end of their international careers. Certainly, neither is likely to be in the mix for the Lions tour nor the 2027 RWC. Without having played in any tests...

Sorry to hear you missed Noah's pinpoint chip over the top for himself, for which he earnt us a penalty for being taken out without the ball.

What's with our response to the split in the maul? In one of tha maul tries, the maul split about 8 - 10 metres out and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Wilson and Tizzano just stayed bound to the wrong part and pushed them back another 5 - 10 metres. Must have felt real good to them but it meant we were absolutely short...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Not very clear is it? Why the THP? Not the LHP? Our problems were that three props were off the field, AAA with what looked like head knock (I assume HIA), Slipper who could hardly walk and Bell who was probably exhausted. The uncontested scrums I think occurred after AAA went off. If that was...

Playing No 7 this weekend. But, yes, I agree.

Doesn't 10 man rugby mean the 10 (a back) kicks it away on every possession?

    Was Kellaway not Hooper.
  20. Brumby Runner

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

He wasn't tackled. Anyone falls over with the ball they are able to regain their feet and play on. But one hand on them while on the ground constitutes a tackle.
