    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

I have never seen a box kick like that in Test or top level rugby….gave me a good laugh

This isn’t anything new though. Scouts have been watching NZ players for decades. SBW was scouted by the Bulldogs whilst playing club footy as a 17-18yr old in Auckland.

Agree. Every time the Warriors make the Top 4 (which I think is perhaps 3 times in the last 28 years??) it looks like the NRL is making in-roads in NZ. The reality is that a lot of Kiwis like and follow both codes and on the rare occasion the Warriors go really well, we finally have a reason to...

Most kiwis who don’t live here don’t realise how bad rugby is in Australia. They might know that rugby competes with the NRL but many have no idea how big AFL is or how rugby is not a part of most public school co-curricular or how even many club rugby players follow league more than they do rugby.

Sorry….my mistake. For some reason I thought he was playing FB mostly at the Waratahs.

This whole saga reminds me of when John Mitchell coached the ABs and selected Ben Blair instead of going with Christian Cullen for the 2003 RWC. Start Tate and Gordon. Honestly, EJ (Eddie Jones) decided Girdon wouldn’t need any older, experienced player to help and guide him. He talked about how young...

Oh…just me? I’ve said a number of times that the try was awarded, fair play, that’s the way rugby goes etc. I’m not complaining about it, the original point was actually more about the fucken bullshit idea that the Wallabies didn’t get any 50/50 calls. I agree it’s boring. Try telling that to...

I’ve wanted to see player movement across Super Rugby for years. Here’s a post from 2021. IMO, NZ Rugby needs to make any NZ player eligible for the ABs so long as they are in Super Rugby.

I actually agree with the player movement but if that doesn’t happen, having more teams won’t make the players better.

A number of kiwis would actually like to have Australia be competitive again. Unfortunately, our fate is tied to Australia's for the foreseeable future and a weak Australia doesn't help NZ or make us better.

Well, it is a reply to the same 'we didn't get any 50/50 calls!' post that gets repeated for eternity after every Wallaby loss so take it up with those posters...

Yeah....Arnold was 'trapped' and had absolutely nowhere to put his arm, poor thing. He's on the wrong side of the tackle and he's playing the ball.

    Wallabies 2023

If EJ (Eddie Jones) wants to bring a replacement for Wales, he has less than 24 to do it I think. The replacement has to stand down for 48-hrs which would mean tomorrow morning latest? Is that right?

This the frame later. The Fijian still has his hands on the ball. If he is trying to pop it up, which is my opinion, of course his hands will come off the ball. Arnold is never in control of the ball - it’s his forearm which is playing at the ball. “The referee is right there”. Again, he was...

    Wallabies 2023

It’s been in place for probably 20-odd years now, at least. There is nothing wrong with it. I think there are 50-odd NZ players at this RWC.

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

The Fijian player is in control. He has both his hands firmly on the ball and I think he tries to pop the ball up. Arnold’s forearm is on the ball and he is trying to play the ball from the ground and on the wrong side of the tackle. He never tries to place the ball, his arm goes in an upward...

Man…this is pretty interesting. Drew Mitchell does not seem like an EJ (Eddie Jones) fan…

He’s on the wrong side of the tackle and he’s playing the ball. The refs were also ‘right there’ when you think Nic White was ‘clearly pushed off the ball’ and when you think Petaia was ‘smacked in the head’ so do you think the refs miss things or not? Or do they only miss things that go...
