Wales v Australia, Monday 18 November 3:10am AEDT

It seems odd to me. A couple of weeks ago, if you were told JAS would get a start in one game and off the bench in another - which way around would have thought that would be? That said, the Wallabies and Schmidt earned a hell of a lot of faith from me last week. Let's go, Joe.

I wonder if the tactic continues but with someone else? Who else in the backline might get up for those kick offs?

So - the pundits behind splitting the centre pairing (Ikitau + Sua'ali'i) and starting Skelton are right. I'm keen to see the set piece effectiveness though I guess that Wales is not a bad choice to test it. I'm also keen to see these hand-skills from Kerevi - kicking and passing. TBH if his job...

I'd say that we have Schmidt's thoughts on Tate pretty much pinned - not a preferred starter but desired to finish.

Bizaar. Look, I'm sure you're very clever, but can we get back to actual discussion about what is going to be a very important WB game?

Yeah, I got your punchline, I'm not seeing the thinking leading to it.

Because Uru is mentioned? Or have I missed something?

Didn't you just quote Jacques Potgieter fondly?

No it fucking doesn't. If it is their throw, the idea that JAS can read the play and the throw and get the position right to attack the throw - is just fanciful. I'm presuming you are thinking about our throw. And as JAS enters the lineout, what do you think the opposition is thinking? The...

    Wallabies 2024

it doesn't work like that. "At his best" I guess we get 12 Kerevi 13 Ikitau. Where Kerevi goes gangbusters, but Ikitau waits for ball direct from 10. c/f 12 Ikitau 13 JAS as they were performing last week. My "no brainer" goes elsewhere and that is IF Kerevi is at his best, having not really...

    Wallabies 2024

I find it hard to stifle a groan with some of the suggestions on re-introducing Kerevi. What the hell, leave it to the coach to Schmidt it in.

    Wallabies 2024

Strangely enough, I'd consider Kerevi at #11 looking to hunt for ball opportunities off the centres. Yeah it's along shot. Personally if we want to see Kerevi in action there is Aus A, isn't there. Right now I think we have more important outcomes to be building in the centres.

Keeping hopes of a slam alive is hardly meaningless. imho.

So we get back to this... Though not exactly length as much as height at length. And then I'd ask, "why"? You only need the height when there is competition for the ball. If there is competition for a long throw you are surely doing something wrong.

Wales v Australia, Monday 18 November 3:10am AEDT

Long throws do not usually require a catch above chest height - it's why they are often the domain of #7.

One game into the blokes career and we are already trying to Hodge the guy. I think that is silly. But let's see what Schmidt thinks.

If Kerevi is to play, give him #12 and Ikitau #23. Then be planning to return Ikitau for Scotland. Personally, Kerevi would need to be very good to reclaim his jumper. Kicking, passing, game reading, in addition to the thump it up. Get that off-load going.

Right, so compared to "niggles", "niggles" means "an unfit, um, person"?
