    Wallabies 2023

At the time of his appointment I didn't think he'd be able to significantly alter the Wallabies fortunes, but I think it is fairly clear he hasn't settled on his favoured line up. Maybe it wont get muchbetter but the teams so far don't appear to be close to top flight.

    Worst Commentator Pole 2

Horan I very rarely agree with but who am I to disagree really? I don't find him as offensive to the ears as I found Marto, Kearney and now Harrison. I think there is definitely some truth to the fact he didn't require an extremely analytical mind as a player though. Watching his highlights...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I believe Nicola is a director and is the more passionate fan apparently. Doors closing but windows opening stuff for Australian Rugby.

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

I think it would have to do with their opposition. Kitshoff is in my opinion a significantly more accomplished player than Malherbe. My point was only that I thought Slipper did not have a relatively bad day but rather looked to me to be a steadying and high workrate influence on the team...

This isn't reflected in the statistics though. Leading the tackle count according to espn. It wasn't his side of the scrum that was struggling either.

    Wallabies 2023

Sio had some good games but Tupou is levels above him at his best. I don't think it's right to say Sio ever dominated at test level.

    2023 GAGR Wallaby POTY : v Springboks

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I don't think BOK could explain if asked how a turnover can be affected at the breakdown: do you put your hands on the ball at any point? what constitutes supporting your own body weight?

Lack of cohesion in defence is really showing. Need to be calmer with ball in hand.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

    I've been a Wallabies supporter for the last 20 years haven't I?

There'd be no asterisk in the record books and it's still at altitude with a full house knowledgeable, partisan crowd. If you win there it would have to be a special feeling regardless.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

Springbok the big favourites this weekend. Wallabies will struggle at altitude. It's like choir boys vs mountain men.

Those backs are extremely talented but I'd be nervous about the lack of playmaking there. There's only really one passer/shot caller in the whole team outside of 9 and even McDermott's strongest suit is running.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

They can all provide quite good insight when interviewed but when together it goes the way of Kearns, Martin and Kaefer on the couch.

    Ballymore Redevelopment

Damn, now that you mention it I can't unsee the NSW colours. Only thing I dont like about it. Will go down with a few maroon cans from Bunnings first thing Saturday.

    RWC jerseys

Looks like a golf shirt except for on Caleb Clarke. Maybe the answer is anything will look good if you are a modern day Adonis. More fool me.
  18. Sword of Justice

    RWC jerseys

You can't win a world cup with that jersey. Far out that's bad.

    Wallabies 2023

Assuming the Wallabies forward pack reaches something around parity consistently it will be a big change for Gordon to play without the ball a lot more. I think this is something Cooper does better than any other Aus 10 and is a very underrated quality. I recall watching Quade for the Rebels...

    Wallabies 2023

While some selections are surprising I think these picks reflect a want for depth as opposed to the shoe horning of players that often takes place, or worse still, some positions where there are 150 caps and others where there a 5. That means the likes of Neville or LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) miss out unfortunately...
