    Wallabies 2024

I used to think playing in a comp with South African, South American and Japanese teams was the stupidest thing in the world given the timezones. Now I think it may have been the only thing keeping Australian teams exposed enough to world rugby to survive. Being fucking destroyed by NZ every...

Will Liam Wright then pick me up and hold me like that?

    Queensland Reds 2024

Wests has done very well for itself (I'm a wests supporter having played a bit of colts years ago) in that the cash injections and the more professional mindset has flourished the club. On growing schoolboy numbers, I think this is true at some GPS schools but my sense is that the grades below...

    Rugby World Cup 2023

I was definitely somewhat of a detractor early but that was because I preferred the talents of David "The Senator" Pocock at 7. I never thought he was too small though. In fact his running game was brilliant when we had more defensive oriented players in the pack.

    Rugby World Cup 2023

The problem of being one of the best players to pull on the jersey ever?

    Wallabies 2024

McReight is one I'd say. It's just about balance in the pack. With that he could be a world beater. I'll say Porecki didn't disgrace himself by any means either. Possibly under the radar developing really nicely even if he'll never be in a world xv.

    Wallabies 2024

I'm aware in the culture of rugby the tiers are sort of a real thing but is Italy actually a tier 1 country?

    Wallabies 2024

To have another Lynagh at 10 for Australia would give me the same hard on that it would give us all, I'm sure we can agree on that. I like his vision and he does seem to be a natural first receiver but he doesn't have the same size or aggression that Gordon has imo.

    Wallabies 2024

I think Carter Gordon will be our best 10 for the foreseeable future frankly. The wheels fell off in France, granted, but the Wallabies coach and the RA high performance structure have it in their power to continue developing him. His positive attributes are so far above others coming through...

    Wallabies 2024

That is certainly true but I think the Wallabies chasing size has delivered us players like Pone and Richie who to my mind have just not come close to the standard required. Conversely, players like McReight and Kellaway are often at the top of the 321s when they are picked. Looking at pack...

Wallabies v Portugal, RWC Pool C, Mon 2 Oct 2.45AM

He's awesome but he's not the best prop we've had in 'so long' given Tupou is the best prop we've had in my living memory. Unless you count the few weeks he's been injured as a long time which I in fact do.

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

We are five years away from being competitive as a team IF we somehow fix every single systemic issue by the beginning of the next super season. The coaching is horrible but this is only somewhat below the bell curve average for us honestly.

    Rugby World Cup Matches OTA

I agree it was a great arm wrestle but I would say it seemed evenly reffed, as opposed to well reffed.

Wow blatant blatant blatant off the ball stuff from rsa.

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

Yeah I think we are in the unusual position of hoping to play 9 man rugby all game based on our selections. Wales backs a little long in the teeth but are still pretty much all best in their position at 6N level at one point or another in their careers. Not too many world beaters in tight for...

Surely the most value is incorporating the new player into the squad and the systems as early as possible.

So we haven't replaced Jorgensen right? Incredibly wasteful.
