    Queensland Reds 2024

I really hope Tom Wright isn’t considered for higher honours this year. He’s one of the best Super players every year and every year he has a brain explosion in Gold and gets dropped. His Wallaby portfolio is long enough to leave him out based on a reasonable expectation that he won’t perform...

    Ballymore Redevelopment

I thought that the women’s game being relocated to Ballymore was a condition of the QLD tax funded contribution whereas I don’t recall any rugby being part of the funding for Moore Park. Therefore the tax payer would rightly be angrier should RA not use the Ballymore facility.

    Ballymore Redevelopment

Such a good point. Not many people realise that aside from having better coffee and art galleries than Melbourne we also have better street culture. It makes perfect sense. waiting for Slim to take the bait.

    Round 6: Reds v Brumbies

Swain starting so Reds only need to stay within 3 points late for the win.
  5. Sword of Justice

    Round 6: Reds v Brumbies

I think the Force have shown the Reds to be the pretenders that they are whilst Brumbies class is coming to the fore. You really have to admire them for their ability to command the Australian rugby landscape and develop players into Wallabies. Massive respect from this QLD poster. Coupled...

    2024 Six Nations

The colour commentator of that game literally cheered when England went over at one point. Just embarrassing.

    2024 Six Nations

In the early stages of that match he stated “You’d have to say that England are ahead on points right now”. It was 3-0 to England at the time. Don’t believe he was being ironic.

    2024 Six Nations

Surprised at the lack of discussion on this forum after the ultimate deciding games were so competitive. The comp may never have been this competitive, even with Wales losing all of their games, three of those were by 3 points or less. Ireland very deserving winners and the best team but I...

    Queensland Reds 2024

I quite enjoyed 2012 and 2013, though obviously would have loved to have won. We played some insane rugby those years, especially against NZ and RSA teams. I have no recollection of 2014 and will never.

    Queensland Reds 2024

It feels very 2010 to me. By which I mean we will definitely win the title next year by beating the Saders in Brisbane and we will see some of the best rugby ever played along the way. Guaranteed.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I agree there was no follow up. Ultimately though the lack of answers basically define the interview. They are not journalists but he is the CEO and he’s not given the punters a scrap which is his missed opportunity. Disappointing because I think Phil has made some positive moves in his tenure...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Really, really good questions put forward by Drew especially as well as 'The Professor'. I don't think Phil would have expected how difficult a conversation this undoubtedly was. Not exactly satisfactory answers, especially around trust and transparency.

    Queensland Reds 2024

I would obviously hate this. However, with his injuries and now many years in Rugby, I don’t think that’s a good option for the Dragons.

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

Lynagh made some big handling errors but on the whole I thought his eyes up management was crucial to putting us over the advantage line and giving us momentum. His defence is really underrated too. Regularly gets bigger bodies down.

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

HMP is so flushed he’s totally purple. Instant legendary play he’ll always remember.

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

O’Keefe has lost his mind. Resetting that scrum after we’ve bossed it and the ball is out anyway is insanity. It’s like he isn’t confident enough to make a call.

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

Reds intent looks good but the hand pass skills are awful tonight.

    Queensland Reds 2024

With Gatland coaching Wales I think you’re right.

    Queensland Reds 2024

Another possibility for todays announcement is that given Suncorp bank is being bought by ANZ - possible name change to the ground? They’ll need a new sponsor but maybe something commemorating Reg’s contributions?
