Let me return to this for a moment… It’s a weak argument. We can look back at results going back to the Super 12 and Super 14 years to show there is no correlation.

What evidence is there that reducing teams will improve the quality of the others? None… and we already have a case study to prove otherwise.

That would only be relevant if Australia had been ranked 10th since 2011... But they were also ranked 2nd in 2015. Australian Super Rugby teams also entered one of their most successful periods after the Rebels were introduced. So maybe one thing doesn't have to do with the other?

The Brumbies were apparently receptive to the concept of centralisation last year, but like the all the other teams had their own concerns it how that would work... The aggressive manoeuvring by McLennan did nothing to help unify the teams with RA. It just sounds like some grown ups got...

The time applied after the "use it" call did seem longer over the weekend... I feel like we're going to go through the same cyclical nature of players getting used to having all the time in the world, and then getting pinged for not using it at a critical time in an important game by a SH based...

As mentioned above, there's kind of a big event this year called the Olympics... Potential medals on offer... players outside the usual squad seeking involvement... team success leading to more government funding... I can't believe I have to explain this in a diehard rugby forum.

I don't see any reason to suspect Schmidt will swap Wright and Kellaway around at this stage... Wright appears more suited to fullback as he can step in as an additional playmaker and orchestrate the counter attack. Kellaway provides that classic wing/fullback role at 14.

Wright had an excellent year for the Brumbies, without any of the brainfarts that have plagued him in previous years... He's earned that fullback position, and I hope to see him inject himself a bit more in the next game because his counter attacking has been a real highlight this year.
