NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2013

Hopefully the Curagul ground at North Turramurra has lights (does it ???) because the 4.20 CHSI v GPSI match will certainly need them - full time whistle due around 5.35pm. Sunset that day will be 4:53pm.

NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2013

I hear the Sydney trial game may now be moved to the evening of Friday 21st at Dural. This is an even worse option than this Sunday, given the Schools match schedule for Friday 21st at Knox: CNTY V AICES 10.30AM GPS III V CCC 11.40AM CAS II V ISA II 12.50AM GPS II V CHS II 2PM CAS I V ISA I...

NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2013

Anyone know when, and where, the Sydney rep squads will be announced. The new SJRU website (http://juniors.rugby.com.au/) is underwhelming and doesn't seem to have any up-to-date information on it... The old one was clunky, but at least it had the information easy to hand...

    NSW CHS Rugby 2013

Review # 3 of CAS 1s v CHS 1s from CAS Forum Thread: CAS 1sts 10 loss to CHS 1sts 25 A very physical with CHS forwards averaging more than 5kg per man and clear intention to be physical at the breakdown. Early penalty goal to CAS was the only time they led in the match. Harrison Williams #4 was...

Review #2 of CAS 1s v CHS 1s, from CAS Forum Thread: CAS 1 10 v CHS 1 25. A brutal game for CAS. I lost count after 7th player taken from field with Injuries. CHS were solid at breakdown. CAS dropped plenty of ball. Dont think CAS boys gelled together as well as CHS. CHS obviously benefited...

    NSW CHS Rugby 2013

Review #1 of yesterday's CHS 1s v CAS 1s game at Cranbrook yesterday: Feedback from my observations on C.A.S games yesterday From past history C.H.S always deliver a strong motivated group of boys who normally do not have the fitness for the full 70 min. C.H.S seconds fell into this category...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

It will be interesting to see how the other schoolboy teams shape up against GPS in the forwards in the next few weeks, especially CHS. CHS 1s have thrashed CCC so far (63-7 I think) and soundly defeated CAS yesterday at Cranbrook (25-10). CHS were unlucky not to have another try or two allowed...

    NSW CHS Rugby 2013

Can't speak for the 28, but I know at least 2-3 potential tourists had a school rugby tour to Canada during the same holiday period, planned for 2 years. Suspect there were multiple reasons for non- attendance...

    NSW CHS Rugby 2013

Saw the CHSvCAS game this afternoon. Not going to comment on individual players, as I'm no expert. However, what I will say is the CHS boys had an impressive air of quiet confidence about them. Very business like and plugged away with great control of themselves, and the game overall. Excellent...

    NSW CHS Rugby 2013

Scores last Sunday at Foreshaw Park - CHS 2nds v AICES was about 63-0 to CHS. Score CHS 1sts was about 56-7 to CHS (but would have been 10 points or so more if the conversions had gone over). CHS looked good in both grades, but will need to be better for today's games re CAS.
