I think it'll be different once he has a settled team, but the intent really appears to be building around those guys properly available long term. It'd probably be slightly different if Tupou, Bell or Valetini were departing - they're always going to feature so you'd pick them whenever you...

I'll add the comment, this shit is fucking terrible and hearing about it I'm glad he's no longer in charge. It's far from the only problem, but if we had had grown up coaches more inclined to act like professionals we would be in a better place as a code today.

Not too surprising to see Anderson gone, he always looked like he'd be the one to go from the backrow after not seeing time this year. Good to see he's picked up a pro contract elsewhere.

Maybe rotated to the bench, but with 2 locks out with concussion this week even that seems unlikely

He was also our most effective attacking weapon in the backline. The targetting had much less to do with Paisami and more to do with him receiving tip on passes in a flat footed backline - anyone at 12 was going to cop it and I'm pretty doubtful even peak Kerevi would've done much better with De...

Yeah he was signed through to 2025 so he did have that RA guaranteed contract that's been picked up here.

Carter and Robertson were mentioned separately to Canham as training cover, so it's likely just about being there. There were a number of Reds guys called in to help with training in Brisbane too - Ryan Smith for example (and I assume Canham, given his call up), it just wasn't mentioned in the...

Makes it absolutely certain his residency resets unfortunately. There was an avenue (though unlikely) to argue around it beforehand.

Unfortunately he played NPC last year so will only be a year into his residency right now, assuming he doesn't play NPC again this year and reset it once more.

And he was in the 23 against the springboks, arguably in the prime position coming off the bench to face the bomb squad. Either way they had about half game each and the split was always going to look like that.

Who the hell else should they be picking? Every other option is injured or has barely played in the past year.

Great pickup for the Force, adds some much needed bulk to their backrow

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

He had a couple of bad misses, but I think some of the others may have been in cover where it shouldn't have been down to him. On the plus side he got through a lot of work on the carry, and was busy in the lineout (second most takes after Wilson). I don't think it was a great game for him...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

He was fine, one bad miss tackle on the tryline after getting through a mountain of work. Problem seems to be people expecting players to generate a lot of go forward and impact of very flat play where we don't have the fluency in attack to be putting bodies in motion. Just about every player...

    Wallabies 2024

I think he's really struggled to regain his form this season after last years injury, not too surprising for ruptured Achilles. I wouldn't be writing him off yet, but it might be a long road back to full form.
